My research
My research interests are in analysis of algorithms (with an emphasis on cutting-plane proofs), combinatorics (with an emphasis on extremal problems and on random discrete structures), graph theory (with an emphasis on and on hamiltonian cycles), and operations research (with an emphasis on linear programming). Here is my with a few links to related web pages. Through the 1990s, I was preoccupied by the Our Sages tell us that we are rewarded for doing theoretical research, for studying subjects that have no practical application.
