  • There are two kinds of people in the world: those who make excuses and those who get results. An excuse person will find any excuse for why a job was not done, and a results person will find any reason why it can be done. Be a creator, not a reactor. Alan Cohen, A Deep Breath Of Life You can't have a better tomorrow if you are thinking about yesterday all the time. Charles F. Kettering Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built.." Welcome New Members! Any person who contributes to prosperity must prosper in turn.
Earl Nightengale 1921-1989 A man is not rightly conditioned until he is a happy, healthy, and prosperous being; and happiness, health, and prosperity are the result of a harmonious adjustment of the inner with the outer of the man with his surroundings. James Allen 1864-1912 If the human race wishes to have a prolonged and indefinite period of material prosperity, they have only got to behave in a peaceful and helpful way toward one another
Winston Churchill 1874-1965 If you want greater prosperity in your life, start forming a vacuum to receive it.
Catherine Ponder Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel there is something special in them. Look at the sunny side of everything. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger. Christian D. Jumpingpound Mountain Jumpingpound Mountain
Jumpingpound Mountain. This is a view from near the top of the trail. I think this mountain was named, like the creek which flows nearby for a native chief. Jumpingpound Mountain is a beautiful green peak that is easy to hike up. When you have little time or just need to get out for a view and there's too much snow further west, this peak is a great option. Road access is via Powderface Trail and is seasonal. Call the Alberta Government toll free at 310-0000 (I don't know if this works outside of Alberta) and ask for the Kananaskis Office. Nothing out of the ordinary happened on this particular day. That's good though. I think the day fit the mountain. Gentle and green is the summit, and so when I got there, I had a nice break and drank in the expansive views of forest and valley. Content to just sit back, eat lunch and identify peaks, I had little reason to think, just relax and enjoy the peace.
I think this is Cox Hill. I walked up this, but I didn't include it in my list as it's name ends in "Hill".

    As a Man Thinketh
In all human affairs there are efforts, and there are results, and the strength of the effort is the measure of the result. Chance is not. "Gifts," powers, material, intellectual, and spiritual possessions are the fruits of effort; they are thoughts completed, objects accomplished, visions realized. The Vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you enthrone in your heart-this you will build your life by, this you will become. Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are. Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound. A man's weakness and strength, purity and impurity, are his own, and not another man's; they are brought about by himself, and not by another; and they can only be altered by himself, never by another. His condition is also his own, and not another man's. Excerpts by Hector Salazar
