Seminario tenuto da Silvia Barbero, con integrazioni del Docente - anno 2001-2002 BENVENUTO CELLINI (Firenze 1500-1571) Orafo, scultore e scrittore. Saliera di Francesco I (al Kunsthistoriches Museum Vienna), il Ritratto di Cosimo I (al museo Nazionale del Bargello a Firenze), il gruppo di Apollo e Giacinto , il Narciso, il Perseo, il Busto di Bindo Altoviti, il Ganimede la Ninfa di Fontainebleu (al Louvre). Scrisse anche alcuni trattati sull’oreficeria e sulla scultura e la Vita La Vita viene pubblicata, per la prima volta, nel 1728-29 da A. Cocchi. In seguito sono pubblicate molte edizioni e viene anche tradotta in diverse lingue. Cellini inizia questo suo quaderno di cronache con un sonetto che spiega e riassume le motivazioni di questo suo scritto. La Vita viene poi suddivisa in libri ed ha un andamento di resoconto, con abbondanza di aneddoti riguardanti anche altri artisti suoi contemporanei. Fra i tanti episodi ed avvenimenti narrati, Cellini spiega come a 18 anni riesce a liberarsi, fuggendo, dal Bandinelli suo maestro di bottega, per poi recarsi presso l’orafo Antonio di Sandro
