Snare tuning

Tue, 18 Jul 1995 12:28:03 -0700
I recently purchased some Aquarian drum heads for my Sonor kit. I have
only been playing for a little over a year, so I really don't know anything
about tuning heads. The toms sound fine, but the snare has a very bad
vibration sound when played. I have tryed making it tighter, and looser,
but the damn vibration sound is still there.. And it sounds a bit out of
tune..
Its driving me crazy!!!!.. Any suggestions?
Any responses will be appreciated...
Thanks,

Not just anybody can peer through a 16-inch telescope and make fabulous pictures of colorful nebula, galaxies and other deep-space objects. Well, actually, almost anyone can.
Teenager Scott Hemphill helped produce this image of a star cluster called M3. About The Images Many of the images in this gallery include objects identified with an "M" classification. This denotes a catalogue developed by Charles Messier in the 1700s. NGC numbers represent another catalogue, developed later, called the New General Catalogue of Clusters and Nebulae Science Tuesday Visit SPACE.com to explore a new science feature each Tuesday. A program at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona allows total amateurs to spend a night at the telescope, with a professional astronomer as a guide, and peruse objects of his or her choosing. The lead guide, Adam Block, and other staff help visitors create professional images of their favorite targets. The 5-year-old program has built up a wide-ranging photo album loaded with space images you would not suspect were produced, in part, by people who were taking their first serious look at the night sky.

... ASA Racing Series Wednesday, May 30, 2001 9:18 PM Hemphill Plans on Making Own Music in Nashville Tony "Tex" Stevens, Hemphill Racing PROSPECT, Penn. - Hemphill Racing - Nashville, Tennessee, also known as Music City, USA, is the site of the next ASA ACDelco Series event. Many country music artists have seen their careers advance because of a trip to Nashville. Ryan Hemphill and Hemphill Racing hope to see their ASA efforts advance this weekend with their own trip to the 'Country Music Capital of the World.'
In the Hemphill's last race, the Actionline 300 at Montgomery Motor Speedway, he led eighteen laps before brake problems forced his retirement from the event. Having been to Nashville Speedway USA before in Legacy cars, some basic track knowledge will most definitely help the team get up to speed this weekend.
"I have a lot of confidence. We haven't been the greatest in all the other races. We think we found a bunch of stuff wrong, which is really good for us. Usually when we find something wrong we end up doing pretty well," said Hemphill. "Being there in a Legacy car, it was like a superspeedway in those cars. But it'll be just another short track in these ASA cars. I didn't really run the greatest at all when I was there, so that wasn't good. But I'm always optimistic about every track I go to and usually do pretty well."
Nashville has always been a track that is difficult to find a consistent setup for. When the NASCAR Busch Series ran at the facility, it was not uncommon to see some of the major teams struggle to gain the handle on the track. This being ASA's second visit in the spec engine and radial tire era, as well as the first night race since the introduction of the ASA Vortec 5700 and BFGoodrich Traction T/A Radials, there will not be much for the experienced teams to draw on in terms of notes. But more than likely, the track's characteristics will remain the same.

Wanless to announce football coach on Wednesday

Cincy to Sactown
Bengals assistant named head football coach
Nicholas Lozito
State Hornet
January 29, 2003 Hornet head football coach Steve Mooshagian. His predecessor had a rough final season. Steve Mooshagian knows at least that much about his new job as Sacramento State’s head football coach. Hornet Athletic Director Terry Wanless formally introduced Mooshagian as former coach John Volek’s successor on Jan. 17 at a press conference in Sac State’s Alumni Center. Mooshagian, 43, takes over a program that not only finished 5-7 last season, but also had six players suspended a total of 12 games throughout the season and Volek suspended one game for criticizing Big Sky Conference officials. “I just totally ignored those things because I had nothing to do with it,” said Mooshagian, who has served as the Cincinnati Bengals receivers’ coach the past four seasons. “But that will not be allowed to happen in my program.” Wanless didn’t ignore the suspensions and losses, and on Nov. 26, three days following his final game, Volek was fired.
