Bate-papo com Ana Moser
Veja como foi o papo com a atleta e colunista do UOL sobre o Campeonato Mundial Masculino de Vôlei.
Participaram do Bate-papo 84 pessoas

    Isabel Salgado ( BRA
Brazil's unstoppable hitter of the 80s
During one of the Superliga (the Brazilian domestic league) matches of 1999, I saw Isabel Salgado come into a match for her club team and suddenly turn the set around. At that point, the Brazilian TV commentator said something that summarises what people think of Isabel Salgado: "In the '80s, she was our Ana Moser." Or should we say that the other way around? Before Ana Moser was pounding her way to stardom in the early '90s, Brazil had relied on the incredible talents of Isabel Salgado. She was amazing, her jumping ability was phenomenal, and even though she wasn't physically overpowering, her attacks were precise, well-placed, well-directed, and as such, very effective. So before we give Isabel the honour of being remembered as the Ana Moser of her time, it is necessary to state that Isabel was the best Brazilian player of her time.

The most famous Brazilian woman player of all time

Ana celebrating against Russia at the '94 Worl'ds. [Photo: Darrell Miho, Volleyball Simply speaking, Ana Beatriz Moser has been the most famous and talented Brazilian volleyball player in the last two decades. She is to Brazil what Mireya Luis is to Cuba, and Lang Ping will always be to China. There are few other analogies that are quite as appropriate because these players combined popular appeal, a strong character, impressive volleyball skills, and a natural inclination towards leadership, all under one name. Ana Moser's story is quite long, and quite interesting. Check out her own personal website for the complete story (see the Links section). But as far as my impressions of this talented player go, here they are in a decompressed nutshell! What I will most remember about her is the way she faced the Cubans in Atlanta. The memory of her bravery gave me enormous respect for this person, and not only because she stood up to uphold her battered dignity, but because she didn't think twice about doing it. Most of her teammates were unsure of how to handle the situation, and preferred to stand together by the back line to deal with the painful loss in huddled silence, but in a most daring move, Ana Moser went to the front line and faced her demons right in their faces. make it nasty if you want to..."

Johann Georg Moser was born in 1684 in Germany, probably near Rheinbischofsheim, Baden. He married Eva Eckersweiler of Rothenburg. They immigrated on the Adventure in 1732 , together with Georg's brother Michael Moser, his wife Susanna and children Simon, Jerack (Georg), Anna Barbara and Anna Maria. Also on the Adventure was Leonard Moser (1718-1782). Most Moser family materials state that Leonard was the son of Georg and Eva, but there seems to be very little evidence to support this apart from arrival on the same ship. Adam and Martin Moser, who arrived on the James Goodwill in 1728, are also usually identified as sons of Johann Georg and Eva but are likewise questionable. Moravian records from 1773, as well as a Davidson County court deposition in 1837 by John Beck, age 77, support the notion that Leonard and Adam were brothers.
    Second Generation
Leonard Moser (ca. 1718-1782) m. 1) Maria Kocher, 2) Sarah Binckele Leonard Moser lived in Lancaster Co. PA and Frederick Co. MD early on, and married Maria Kocher in 1744 at the Middletown Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick Co. (at the time part of Prince George's County). He and his second wife Sarah Binckele joined Graceham Moravian Church in Frederick Co. Leonard came to Wachovia in the summer of 1773 to look at land, and appears on the 1774 Surry County tax list, in the region that later became Stokes and eventually Forsyth County. Leonard Jr. and Michael, and possibly some of the other older children, seem to have remained in Maryland when their parents moved to NC. After Leonard's death in 1782, his widow Sarah married Edward Nathaniel Bartley. Her rapid remarriage may have been prompted by a court order that she have her children bound out, and she seems to have sent the two youngest sons, Henry and John, to Maryland at this time. Henry testified on the pension application filed by Michael Moser's widow in 1856 that he married in Maryland before he and Michael left for NC in the autumn of 1790. John Moser was also back in NC by at least 1795, when he married Polly Smith.
