http://users.tinyonline.co.uk/gswithenbank/eponyms.htm
Eponyms An eponym is a word derived from the name of a real, fictional, mythical or spurious character or person. Most eponyms originate from a person's surname: boycott , for instance, from the Irish landlord Captain Charles Cunningham Boycott; dahlia , from the Swedish botanist Anders Dahl; the sousaphone , from the American bandmaster John Philip Sousa; and volt , from the Italian physicist Count Alessandro Volta. Many eponymous words come from literary, biblical or mythological sources: malapropism , from Mrs Malaprop in Sheridan's The Rivals Dickensian , from the English writer Charles Dickens; as old as Methuselah , from the age of the Old Testament patriarch; and aphrodisiac , from the Greek goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite. There are thousands of eponyms in everyday use in English today and study of them yields a fascinating insight into the rich heritage of the world's most popular language and its development. Here are some more examples of names that have been immortalised in such a way.

Attached are annotated tombstone abstracts taken in 1994 at ME Black Creek Cemetery, Black Creek Twp., Luzerne County Pa, which is just over the Northeast border of Schuylkill County. Political boundaries were much less important than distance, weather, etc in determining place of burial.
As previously mentioned many burials are for persons with strong ties to Schuylkill County, or where in fact Schuylkill residents.
There are two other cemeteries in Black Creek - the Trinity and the Shellhammer.
Had to abandon recording of the Shellhammer due to weather and insects, hope to get back to it someday.

(Saline Central Burial Ground) readings for
Saline, Saline Twp., Washtenaw Co., MI
Oakhill Cemetery is on 3 acres of land that is situated on the east side of Macon Road between Braun and Willow Roads in Saline MI. It is owned and maintained by the Township of Saline. This cemetery was created from two deeds, the first 1 acre was given to the township by Duncan Robinson for a burying ground. The last 2 acres were given by Milton and Rachel Reynolds in 1874 to the Saline Central Burial Ground as it was known when. The name was changed to Oakhill on Oct 5, 1911. The cemetery officially came under the jurisdiction of Saline Township on Sep 5, 1873 by the dissolution of the Saline Central Burying Ground Corporation. Some of the stones are broken off or are in bad shape and can not be read fully so question marks (?) are in that place. A special “thank you” to Barbara Burns who transcribed this information.
