COACH DAVID ROHRER
David Rohrer was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the oldest of six children. He is a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School where he participated in football, basketball, wrestling and baseball. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Stevens Point in 1965 and a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 1973. In 1965 Dave began teaching and coaching in the Waupun Jr. and Sr. High Schools, where he remained until his retirement in the spring of 2000. During his years in the Waupun School District he coached a variety of sports, namely football, volleyball, golf and softball, each for a limited time. It was wrestling to which he was committed as assistant and head coach for the entire 35 years. As head coach from 1969 to 1987, Waupun compiled a 161-52-4 record. His teams won seven Wisconsin Little Ten Conference championships, seven regional championships and three sectional championships. During this period, Waupun had 37 state qualifiers and 12 state place-winners. Dave feels that his 1983-84 season was his most memorable. It was the only year that his sons, Steve, a senior and Scott, a freshman wrestled on the same varsity team. That year Waupun wont he WLT conference championship, the regionals and sectionals and both Steve and Scott qualified for the state tournament. Steve went on to place fifth at 126 pounds.

August 2002 Music by George Stiles
Book and Lyrics by Anthony Drewe
Honk! is the story of a someone who’s…well… different— whose looks instantly kindle prejudice from his family and neighbors. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry Cat, he must find his own way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey he not only discovers his true beauty but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms. AND everyone else in the barnyard learns an important lesson:
Different isn't hateful...Different could be swell.
Different is just...well... different "HONK!" is presented by special arrangement with, and all authorized performance materials are provided by, Music Theatre International, 421 West 54th Street, New York, NY 10019 The Cast Drake (a mallard) Don Wagner Turkey Steve Daly Ida (a duck, Drake's wife)
