Luke Freeman, Union twp., Mont Co., IN 1840 1m 5/u 1m30/40 1 f 5/u 2f5/10 1 f 20/30 SUSAN M. THOMAS, b 29 Oct 1814 Frederick Co., MD (OH?) d 27 Jan 1894 at the Freeman Farm near Wesley. Susan may have been born near Cincinnati OH, although the Biography of her brother Ezra Thomas states that after the death of their father in Frederick Co., MD, the family moved to Hamilton Co., OH around 1819. From the Crawfordsville Journal, Fri. Feb 2, 1894: Susan Freeman, mother of J. C. Freeman, peacefully fell asleep in death on Fri. evening, Jan. 26, 1894, in the 78th year of her age. She has been a faithful member in the ME church since early in life and was very prompt in Christian work. The funrl. Services were conducted at the church by Rev. J. M. Stafford on Sun. afternoon with internment at the Wesley Cem. The relatives have the warmest sympathy of the whole community, in their sad bereavement. From the Waynetown Despatch Fr. the 1874 directory of Mont Co., Wayne twp.
