    Isaac Churchill and family arrived in Australia on the ship "William Mitcalfe" on Wednesday 13th March 1844. He and his family were Bounty Migrants from the village of East Chinnock, Somersetshire, England .
    Isaac was 29 years old, and his wife Harriett (nee.) Hann (22) ,Children: Charles (7) Nathaniel (5) Job (3)
    On arrival, Isaac signed an agreement to go and work for Thomas Livingstone Mitchell for a year, at his property at Bargo as farm servants. Thomas Livingstone Mitchell was the Surveyor-General of NSW.
    Beef or mutton..18lbs , Flour..24lbs, Sugar..3lbs, Tea..6 oz, he was also supplyed with a cow and the implements of agriculture to clear and till the land.

    At the end of his twelve months work agreement with Thomas Mitchell he and his family moved to Goulburn, and in the next year we find him and his family at Gullen (now Kialla) nr. Crookwell, NSW where he took up a lease on a property there, he cleared the land and made a home for his wife and family.
    Isaac and his family were Weslyan Methodists and were staunch members of the church.
