Thomas Henry and Nancy Hill Kidd Henry Kidd moved to Fluvanna Co. Virginia from Caroline Co. Virginia around 1790. His purchase 400 acres from James and Fanny Cole. This land was by the Cunningham Creek near the fork of the James River. Land once owned by Aaron Kidd of Albemarle Co. Virginia Henry Kidd was a miller. He also owner a traven or "House of Private Entertainment" in May 1822; He was granted a license to sell "ardent spirits" at the Tavern. To receive a license a man had to be of good character. Some of Henry's descendants are still living in Fluvanna Co. today. One cousin mentioned that he was related to everyone in Fluvanna, so he had to leave home to find a bride. This was in 1980.
