Natural Industries, Inc. was established in 1992 by Bill Kowalski. His vision for the company was to use specific microorganisms to reduce and/or eliminate the use of certain harmful chemicals. Continuing The Tradition
Today, Natural Industries is a rapidly growing corporation whose acclaimed products are used by thousands of growers. This success is due directly to the integrity of its founder and his dedication to honesty. Employees at Natural Industries, Inc. are deeply committed to operating the company with an adherence to these same principles and ethics.

Agriculture

List contents Agriculture With farmers managing almost half of the EU’s land area, the agricultural sector is a major source of pressure on Europe’s environment. Over the past five decades, the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) - accounting for around half of the EU budget - has encouraged the sector to become more and more intensive, as has the growing globalisation of the world’s economy. As a result, the agricultural sector is responsible for a large share of the pollution of surface waters and seas by nutrients, for the loss of biodiversity, and for pesticide residues in groundwater. Reforms of the CAP in the 1990s, and measures taken by the sector itself, have brought about some improvements, but more is needed to balance agricultural production, rural development, and the environment. pressure pesticide groundwater surface water ... webmaster@eea.eu.int European Environment Agency, Kgs. Sustainable Animal Production - Visions for the 21th century Welcome to our Website
Sustainable animal production is a system which preserves the basis of life of future generations. The foundations, conditions and perspectives for animal production are exceedingly variable in different parts of the world. This project focusses on the future supply and quality of food for humans and animals, animal welfare and health, the effects of animal production on the environment, the influences of new technologies, future animal production sites and global trade. These pages contain the Conference Sustainable Animal Production , the documentation of a multidisciplinary project to develop a global vision for the future of the production of food of animal origin. This site is also intended as a forum to continue the dialogue begun in the virtual conference and workshop series "Sustainable Animal Production". The project was realized by a consortium of scientists from four research institutions in northern Germany and includes a virtual conference launched in October, 1999, and followed by a series of

This conference will examine how agriculture can contribute
positively to the environment while remaining productive and
profitable. The goal is to foster strategies that go beyond
merely reducing the damage that agriculture imposes on the environment. The conference will show how appropriately managed farms can do more than that, actually enhancing the environment in important ways. * CALL FOR PAPERS *
Conference on
ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT THROUGH AGRICULTURE
Boston, Massachusetts
November 16-17, 1995
Organized by:
Tufts University, Center for Agriculture, Food and
Environment
American Farmland Trust Henry A. Wallace Institute for Alternative Agriculture Papers are invited for a conference dealing with ways that agriculture can offer environmental benefits, rather than simply reducing the damage it imposes on the environment. The goal of the conference is to foster a new kind of strategic thinking about agriculture based on "win-win" approaches that jointly serve both agricultural and environmental interests. Some examples of environmental benefits that appropriately managed agricultural systems can provide include: o Refuges for wildlife species that thrive in suitable agricultural ecosystems and that are being deprived of other habitat.
