ERC Angel TM here D espite the vast number of women and teens in the world suffering from the reproductive and immunological disease Endometriosis, the illness remains under-diagnosed, under-researched, under-funded and under-treated. There is still, as yet, no definitive cure, despite what less-informed sources would have you believe. Throughout this site you will find articles, news and information pertaining to the disease, as well as resources for support. This site is not intended to suggest or replace medical advice given to you by your healthcare professional; but rather, to educate and empower you to make your own best - informed - decisions concerning your health. While currently incurable, it is entirely possible to effectively manage Endometriosis and live well in spite of the disease . The keys to successfully battling this painful disease include early diagnosis, effective treatment with an Endometriosis specialist not an OB-GYN generalist), the support of those who understand, keeping abreast of the latest information on the disease, and a positive outlook.
Endometriosis is NOT cancer, but recent studies show increased risks of certain cancers in those with Endometriosis, as well as malignant changes in Endometriotic implants.

Jiaogulan - China's "Immortality Herb" - is traditionally used to:
      • regulate blood pressure
      • support a healthy cholesterol balance
      • support cardiovascular function
      • support the body's natural adrenal process
      • support the body's healthy immune system
ABOUT JIAOGULAN Jiaogulan (pronounced 'jee-ow-goo-lan') is a vine which grows wild in mountainous areas of Southern China and other parts of Asia. In China, the herb is known as 'herb of immortality' as it is believed to delay aging and increase endurance. The scientific community became interested in the herb after two Japanese researchers stumbled across it looking for a sugar alternative. They discovered that the plant contained ingredients very similar to those found in ginseng. Further research showed that jiaogulan has a wide range of actions in the body, with a general overall effect of helping to balance and regulate body systems, such as the cardiovascular and hormonal systems. Studies have since been conducted which indicate that jiaogulan has antioxidant properties and helps support circulation and immune systems. For more information on jiaogulan's actions click here Gypenosides - Jiaogulan's Active Ingredients
Jiaogulan contains substances called gypenosides. These are similar to the active constituents in ginseng, but jiaogulan contains over three times as many. Furthermore, jiaogulan is believed to have a superior action to ginseng, being more supportive without causing overstimulation. In China it is often referred to as 'women's ginseng' since it is considered to be much kinder to women's body systems than ginseng.

Endometriosis can be difficult to deal with.
I decided to do a web site all about Endometriosis in 'January 2001'. I began doing so due to the fact that Endometriosis isn't very well known, even though 1 in 10 women suffer with Endometriosis , its the second gynocological problem amongst women. Over the past few years there's been an increase of information available. Unfortunatly, still not enough information is known about it. It's a disease that I have been told I may have (unfortunatly I've been suffereing with the symptoms for over 8 years!) For some women it can be a very embarrassing disease to talk about, because it primarily involves the female reproductive system. But it needs to be talked about, and researched, for any progress to be made in combating the disease Endometriosis So please help me and many others to bring Endometriosis Awareness to others.
PLEASE NOTE: If there's some information that you CAN NOT view on this site then please e-mail me and I will forward you the information you require, Thank you.

    Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease that occurs when cells from the womb are found outside the womb. The most common symptom of endometriosis is pain. Usually it begins with menstruation, or it may build up a few days before your period. Other symptoms include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pain with intercourse or bowel movements and for some, infertility. Diagnosis is currently based on surgical visualisation by laparoscopy. It involves placement of a fiber optic (lighted) scope into the abdomen. This is then followed by placement of small additional ports in the lower abdomen to allow placement of instruments for evaluation and treatment of endometriosis.

    60. Antidote For Endometriosis
Elizabeth Smith, MD reviews the most recent clinical and scientific research on the cause of endometriosi Category Health Women s Health Gynecologic Disorders endometriosis......endometriosis Cured or Greatly Improved in most of the Cases Dr. Lee Has Treatedwith progesterone. by Elizabeth Smith, MD A True Help for endometriosis.
    http://www.endo101.com/
    by Elizabeth Smith, M.D.
A True Help for Endometriosis Mainstream physicians readily acknowledge that pregnancy retards endometriosis and in some cases cures endometriosis. Mainstream medicine also acknowledges that menopause cures endometriosis. Now, the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) has approved Natural Progesterone for endometrial (uterine lining) hyperplasia (proliferation). Many mainstream physicians are now using natural progesterone to fool the body into thinking it is pregnant ("pseudopregnancy") and stop endometriosis. Endometriosis is simply uterus innner lining (endometrium) that has ended up where it should not be. The endometrial cells (uterine inner lining) end up in the abdominal cavity next to the intestines, fallopian tubes, or on the ovary, and cycle through a menstrual period there causing endometriosis. What is it about pregnancy that cures endometriosis? There are three types of estrogen that the body produces: estradiol, estrone, and estriol. Estradiol produced during a normal menstrual cycle goes into the cell receptor and stimulates the cell receptor strongly stimulating endometriosis to grow. However, estrone and estriol go into the same receptor and stimulates it weakly blocking out estradiol (estradiol stimulates the endometriosis to grow). During pregnancy, the fetus produces precursors to estriol in the fetuse's adrenal glands. Then, the placenta produces estriol several orders of magnitude greater than the non-pregnant state. Progesterone is also produced by the placenta during pregnancy. "Pro" means "for" and gesterone means "gestation". During regular menstrual cycles, a woman produces 20 mg per day of progesterone. However, during the peak of pregnancy the woman's body produces 400 mg per day of progesterone.
