Hintergrund: Syndrom Mayer-Rokitansky (MRK) wird vom vaginalen Atresia mit anderen variablen müllerian (IE, paramesonephric) Luftschachtabweichungen enthalten (OMIM 277000 [ Fehlen Vagina ]). MRK bleibt normalerweise unentdeckt, bis der Patient mit Primäramenorrhea trotz der normalen sexuellen weiblichen Entwicklung sich darstellt. MRK ist die zweithäufigste allgemeine Ursache von Primäramenorrhea. Während diese Bedingung psychologisch verheerende Konsequenzen hat, können seine physiologischen Defekte chirurgisch behandelt werden. Nach Diagnose erlaubt chirurgische Intervention Patienten, normale sexuelle Funktion zu haben. Wiedergabe kann mit unterstützten Techniken möglich sein. Pathophysiologie: Um die 5. gestationalwoche stoppen die müllerian Luftschachte, sich zu entwickeln. Das Skelett, abgeleitet vom embryonalen mesoderm, ist zu den Entwicklungsstörungen diesmal verletzbar. Die Gebärmutter, der Cervix und der Upper 75% der Vaginaform von den fixierten Schwanzenden der müllerian Luftschachte. Fallopian Schläuche entwickeln sich von den unfixierten oberen Enden, das Nierensystem sich entwickelt gleichzeitig von den wolffian (IE, mesonephric) Luftschachten. Ovarian Funktion wird konserviert, weil die Eierstöcke innerhalb des ursprünglichen ectoderm entstehen, unabhängig von den mesonephros. Ein Gen, das für MRK verantwortlich ist, ist nicht gekennzeichnet worden

Für Frauen mit dem Syndrom, die eine kleine Vagina haben, hat es nicht-chirurgische Versuche der Vergrößerung sie durch stufenweise Ausdehnungmethoden gegeben. Dennoch - und es ist sehr wichtig, dieses im Verstand zu halten -, gibt es einen anderen seltenen pathologischen Zustand, der auch durch Primäramenorrhea und Fehlen Gebärmutter und Vagina gekennzeichnet wird: ein sehr merkwürdiges Syndrom nannte früher "Testikular- feminization" und momentan "Androgenunempfindlichkeitsyndrom.", Folglich muß eine vorsichtige differentiale Diagnose zwischen Syndrom MRKHauser und Testikular- feminization sofort sein .

Jag upprörs över att det är så svårt att finna information om MRKH, några svenska hemsidor är omöjligt att finna, än sämre är det med litteratur.Att kunskapen om MRKH sprids tycker jag är mycket angeläget, och detta är mitt främsta mål med den här sidan. Jag diagnosticerades med uterus agenesi som 17-åring. Anledningen till att jag överhuvudtaget gick till läkare var att jag inte fått mens. Efter utredning, ultraljud, kromosomanalys med mera fick jag veta att jag tyvärr inte hade livmoder eller vagina. Jag hade tidigare inte någon aning om att det var möjligt att som kvinna sakna fortplantningsorgan. Inte direkt något som lärdes ut på biologilektionerna i skolan. Tyvärr är även de man kunde förvänta sig kunskap av förvånandsvärt okunniga. Jag har hittills inte träffat en enda läkare som känt till MRKH och kunnat ge mig information som är relevant. Läkare fokuserar tyvärr enbart på att se till att vi blir "normala", och sen känner de sig tillfreds. Överhuvudtaget är okunskapen om intersexsyndrom skrämmande stor, vilket naturligtvis har sin orsak i att sjukvården och samhället gör allt de kan för att dölja att det faktiskt föds människor som inte automatiskt kan placeras i antingen den ena eller andra könskategorin.

My mother had seven pregnancies, all girls, of which I was the oldest. Two of my sisters were born with spina bifida and died at a young age. One sister has no sense of smell (from birth). Another sister went through premature ovarian failure at age 26, her karyotype includes a missing leg on one of her x chromosones. My question is: could there be a reason all these congenital abnormalities occured in one family? I have read of connections between MRKH and spinal abnormalities. I am aware of one woman with MRKH who has no sense of smell. Dr. Daniel Cramer of Harvard has published articles on his theory that a galactose processing deficiency can cause both MRKH and premature ovarian failure. Do you have any suggestions for me on who might be appropriate to contact with this kind of question? Thank you, Pat
