Milestones in Neuroscience Research
Some of the best references for the events that document the history of the neurosciences are:

Intre timp, organele oficiale de stat, si-au schimbat parerea in problema amintita. www.nobelpark.hu publica numarul 2+10. www.hungary.org la fel. Probabil sunt si alte publicati cu acest continut. Fapt este ca numarul Premiatilor maghiari si de origine maghiara oscileza, intre 5 si 14, sau mai multi (in revista Fizikai Szemle).

    Robert Barany
Robert Bárány was born on April 22, 1876, in Vienna, Austria. When he was quite young he contracted tuberculosis of the bones, which resulted in permanent stiffness of his kneejoint. It is thought that this illness first led him to take an interest in medicine. During the latter part of his life Bárány studied the causes of muscular rheurmatism, and continued working on a book dealing with this subject even after he had suffered a stroke and was partially paralysed. His name is associated with tests for detecting vestibular disease and for examining activities of the cerebellum and their relation to disturbances of equilibrium. Today, at a time when fundamentalist Islamic extremism is affecting so much of our world, I think it's interesting to note the statistical difference between Arabs and Jews shown below. I think that if the fanatics spent less time on politics and religion, and more on 'useful endeavours' (lots of room for discussion here!), it would be a good thing for their people and for everyone.
