DEFINICION La Holografía es la técnica de crear imágenes en tres dimensiones, utilizando para ello un cristal o una película fotosensible expuesta a un rayo láser. El inventor de la holografía fue Dennis Gabor, premio Nobel de física en 1971. El buscaba mejorar la resolución y definición del microscopio electrónico a través de un proceso de registro fotográfico de imágenes.El proceso de registro fotográfico consistía en dos pasos:
  • Registro en placa fotográfica Pasar un haz luminoso a través del registro fotográfico una vez revelado formando la imagen del objeto en una pantalla
Gabor no tuvo éxito con su propósito fundamental pero creo el primer holograma, que era muy rudimentario.Después del descubrimiento de Gabor otros físicos adelantaron estudios en este campo pero la gran barrera fue la falta de fuentes de luz coherentes. En 1956 Emmett N. Leith, busca registrar la formación de las ondas de un radar por métodos ópticos, apoyándose en los estudios ya realizados perfecciono la holografía.
