1949 William Faulkner. I could swear that I've read his short stories somewhere along the line, but I don't remember them well. So I'm going to read As I Lay Dying 1948 T.S. Eliot: My modern poetry professor was a BIG Eliot fan, trudging his reluctant troops through The Waste Land . I'm fairly certain that he and Hemingway were fishing buddies. 1947 André Paul Guillaume Gide: The Immoralist 1946 Hermann Hesse: Siddhartha . Read this one in high school, when we were totally into finding ourselves. Self found, other books to read. 1945 Gabriela Mistral: A Gabriela Mistral Reader 1944 Johannes Vilhelm Jensen 1943 The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section. 1942 The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section. 1941 The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section. 1940 The prize money was with 1/3 allocated to the Main Fund and with 2/3 to the Special Fund of this prize section.

Alfred Bernard Nobel (21.10.1833 - 10.12.1896) Alfred Nobel wurde am 21. Oktober 1833 in Stockholm (Schweden) geboren. My Hamsun curiosities: First your aim is to collect his books, but what happens on the way? How about this special edition or not to forget the surprice when you, in the book you just bought, find greetings from Knut Hamsun or from Marie, Tore , Arild. That is then a whole new collectors challenge.. Signed photo. "To Rev.Cornelius Greenway with thanks for greetings. Nørholm, 14/8.29 Yours respectfully Knut Hamsun."
How lucky can one be! Rev.Greenway lived from 1896 or 1898 to 1968, was a unitarian priest at Unitarianchurch Taunton, Massechusetts and All Souls Universalist Church, Brooklyn N.Y. and a passionate autograph collector. He has probably written Hamsun on his 70. birthday and asked for the picture and autograph. The photo (28 x 18 cm) was found at an antiquarian in Los Angeles. Signed portrait.
