A weird electrical storm strikes the mall, causing the robots to go nutzo and set their sites on some sneaky teenyboppers staying the night in the mall. All the actors are incredibly annoying, particularly Barbara Crampton's character, who shows us she has a nice chest, and can whine and cry with the best of them. Actually there are two pluses to this film, believe it or not. Rampant nudity and one terrific exploding head. Maybe thats all you need in life..... (a.k.a. Killbots) (dir: Jim Wynorski) Deep Red (1976) The Driller Killer (1982) I'll give you a quick review of the plot before I start bitching about this movie. An artist type is driven mad by various events going on in his life. Nagging girlfriend, no one is buying his artwork, and then the final straw comes into play, a punk band moves into the apartment next door and practices at full volume. How does one deal with such stress? Why,you go out and buy a power drill with which you murder bums living on the street. Why he chose them and not the band or his bitchy girlfriend I'm not sure. All the murder scenes are shot dead on in an unexciting way, and are not very shocking. But the worst thing about this movie is the damn punk band that lives next door. The filmmakers are constantly showing this band playing their shitty ass music, over and over and over again. Almost made me go out and buy a drill of my own, that and watching this movie. Black Rhythm Happening

One of the most righteous albums of jazz ever recorded a brilliant blend of soulful and avant garde styles, backed up by a chorus of voices that have a really soulful sound! The result is sheer brilliance an album that sounds like nothing else you can imagine! CD GENE HARRIS
Nexus

An excellent session of 70s keyboard funk from Gene Harris, recorded with Jerry Peters, and featuring Harris on electric piano, moog, and other 70s heavyweight keys. The sound of the album is great a mix of heavier soul tracks with vocals, and mellower numbers that let Harris stretch out a lot!

My Buddy Bandleader Buddy Moreno Remains A Musical And Broadcasting Icon In The St. Louis Area Bandleader Buddy Moreno was a featured singer/guitarist with the Griff Williams, Dick Jurg ens and Harry James orchestras before heading up his own outfit i n the late 1940's. He is pictured above during the early 1980s behind the microphone as a disc joc- key. He currently hosts a jazz/big band radio program on Saturdays over Radio WSIE in St. Louis and still leads a band on occasion. by Stephen Fratallone T he way Buddy Moreno sees it, he's strictly a survivor from the Big Band era. "That's exactly what I am, a survivor," said Moreno, 89, via telephone from his home in Florissant, MO. "I guess there's nothing wrong with that, is there?" Moreno, a personable guitarist/singer who forged a name for himself with the Griff Williams, Dick Jurgens and Harry James bands and who later went on to lead a dance band of his own during the late 1940s, still leads a band today for special occasions and also has had a lengthy career in radio. "I think my band was quite good," Moreno said. "It was a good sounding commercial band."

Felix was born on 19 th A meeting with bandleader Harry Roy earned a commission to write a story, which was successfully published, and so began Felix’s career as a press agent and publicist. His famous name was a great asset and he built up an impressive list of clients, including Arthur Tracy, Al Bowlly, Joe Loss, Billy Bissett, Mantovani, Carroll Gibbons, Monte Rey, Charlie Kunz, Sidney Lipton, Lew Stone, music publisher Lawrence Wright, and many more. Harry Roy acknowledged him as ‘the greatest publicity man any artist could ever have wished for’, and said, ’99 per cent of my success and fame was due to his brilliant handling of my publicity’.
