General Course Description:
Theoretical and experimental investigations in sensory and perceptual processes, including vision and audition.
Psyc 303 - Sensation and Perception Lecture Course (3): Prerequisites:
Psychology 101, 201, 202 or consent of instructor.
Students taking Psychology 303L concurrently must also have completed Psychology 300. Lecture Course Description:
Detailed examination of anatomical, physiological, and psychological/behavioral aspects of sensations and perception in human and other animals. Emphasis on all five basic senses: vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell.
Writing assignments wil be required. Sample Syllabus Psyc 303L - Laboratory in Sensation and Perception (2): Prerequisites:
Psychology 101, 201, 202, 300, and 303 (or concurrent enrollment in Psychology 303), or consent of instructor. Laboratory Course Description:
Application of research methods to topics in sensation and percpetion. Empirical research will be deigned, conducted, analyzed and interpreted in the context of existing theories.
Written research reports will be required.
