Blessed Hope
Brethren In Christ Church "We Value What We Do, We Do What We Value" Discover the Brethren in Christ "Let the love of Jesus flow from us to you!"
Come discover God’s life-changing truth. It is proclaimed and taught at the Brethren in Christ Church. The Brethren in Christ proclaims the biblical message common to all true Christians – with an emphasis on the authority of the Bible, personal commitment to Jesus Christ, the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and the earnest Christian living in company with God’s people. GOD We believe in the triune God who forever is – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in one sovereign, true and living God, creator and preserver of all things, who entered human history in the person of Jesus Christ, and comes to live in us by the Holy Spirit. As believers, we bow before Him in worship. The Bible We believe that the Bible is God’s message of salvation for all people. It is the authoritative and reliable word of God, spoken and written by people in their own language and settings, as inspired by the Holy Spirit. We understand and interpret the Bible through the person, teaching, and work of Jesus Christ. As believers, we accept it as the final authority for faith and practice. Jesus Christ We believe that human beings, though created in the image of God, are now sinful and alienated from God. God acted in history to redeem sinful humanity through Jesus Christ, who alone is God incarnate. On the cross Jesus took our place, bore our sins and died our death. For this reason alone God freely forgives those who respond in repentance and faith.
