Christadelphians (or Brethren in Christ) are a group of people located throughout the world whose belief is identical with the simple teaching of Jesus Christ and his Apostles. Our rule of life is to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and his disciples, and our hopes are centered upon his return, when he will bring everlasting life to the faithful, and set up on earth the long-promised Kingdom of God

Introduction The hope of Israel" or " no hope" is a critique of the book Unmasking Christadelphianism :The Hopelessness of 'The Hope' by Branson Hopkins [which appears at the beginning of our Web site]. An ex-Christadelphian, Hopkins makes a series of attacks upon a number of Biblical (and Christadelphian) doctrines, as well as ad hominem attacks upon John Thomas and Robert Roberts, foundation members and prolific authors within the group. Most of the comments he makes about supposed errors in our Bible based doctrines have been dealt with fully, almost all of them in an outpouring of debates which by popular opinion their opponents lost and by a large number of pamphlets, newspaper and magazine articles, and books such as Christendom Astray published over 100 years ago; but also more recently in books such as

Christ is coming! - Bible teaching about his return
It was once fashionable in religious circles to say that Jesus Christ would never return to the earth. There are still plenty of professing Christians who believe that. But there are now many others who have come to believe that the Second Coming is a very important event. Christadelphians have always taught that the Return of Jesus Christ to the earth is vital to the fulfilment of the purpose of God. This booklet reviews Bible teaching about the Second Coming, both the events that will lead up to that miracle and the reason for the Lord's Return. Back to contents
      New Testament Teaching
Someone has counted the New Testament references to this great event, and they number 318 occurrences! If you reflect that the number of times the word for Christian love occurs is only 115, you will begin to see the importance of this topic. Nor is it simply the case that only one or two New Testament writers refer to the matter in their writings. Treatment of the subject is widely spread. Jesus spoke often about the Kingdom of God and his Second Coming. His parables, for example, were told to those who thought the Kingdom of God was to appear immediately. He was like a nobleman who had to go into a far country to receive for himself a Kingdom

    The Name 'Christadelphians'
On the 1st May 1832 a passenger ship, the 'Marquis of Wellesley', set sail from St Kathrine's Dock, London, bound for New York, with a young medical practitioner on board acting as surgeon. The young doctor's name was John Thomas and he found himself the medical attendant of eighty-nine people, seventy being passengers, the remainder consisting of the crew. No sooner had the ship cleared the river than bad weather set in and for two weeks they were tossed about by stormy winds and seas during which the main mast snapped off and the ship suffered considerable damage and loss. The cloudy conditions prevented observations being taken and the ship's position and progress were uncertain to say the least. When the vessel ran aground in shallow water it was lifted by the powerful waves and crashed on the bottom more than a dozen times, causing it to leak profusely, and the terrified passengers feared for their lives. Dr Thomas was certainly not an irreligious or irreverent man, but he had never made religion a particular interest. However, he now found his mind concentrated on what would become of him if this was to be his end and realised that his mind was clouded by uncertainty. It was at this time that he vowed that if ever he got ashore again, he would never rest until he found out the truth of the matter so that he might no more be found in such an uncertain state of mind.

    Where are We
The Berean Christadelphians are all over the World. Click on one of the following for more information and how to get in touch with us. Our world-wide preaching takes place in a variety of ways, one of them being over the internet. If you are not near one of our current locations listed, please contact us and we'll put someone in touch with you. Our organization is quite decentralized. We organize on a local level into groups we call "ecclesias", which is a Bible Word in Greek that means A called out assembly . We have no clergy, and share responsibilities for various task amongst the baptized members of the ecclesia. Our ecclesias associate with one another by having what we term - fellowship, which is Christian association in many forms.
