Aerospace Engineering
Bachelor of Engineering
As an aerospace engineer, you're part of a Canadian industry that enjoys worldwide acclaim for its technical leadership and manufacturing excellence. After graduating, the expertise learned at Ryerson can be applied to a variety of engineering challenges including air, space, sea, and land travel. A major motivation is to invent ways to make vehicles work better - and move faster. The practical education lets you apply those theories learned in the classroom directly to real-life scenarios and within Ryerson's laboratory facilities. Ryerson is one of only two undergraduate aerospace engineering programs in the province, so there is a constant demand for graduates. The program has seen significant changes in recent years with the implementation of new specialization streams in Aeronautics and Space Systems Design. Your first year will be common with the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering programs. Courses of study include mathematics, physics, and other basic sciences together with courses in engineering graphics and design, computer programming and material science. During your second year, engineering science courses are introduced, some of which are common to Mechanical Engineering, while others are specific to Aerospace Engineering.

    http://maeweb.ucsd.edu/
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is a large interdisciplinary engineering department covering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering , as well as Chemical Engineering . At present, we have approximately 1000 undergraduate students and 120 graduate students. The department is part of the Irwin and Joan Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) which grants approximately 6.3% of California's B.S. degrees, 5.6% of the M.S. degrees and 7% of the Ph.D. degrees. Although the MAE department was founded only 38 years ago, our educational program and laboratory facilities are outstanding and fully developed, supported by a dedicated staff and great research faculty. Indeed, in a recent survey we ranked tenth nationwide in both Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Our experimental and computational facilities are state of the art, including a second engineering building with an area of 50,000 square feet completed in July 1994. Recruitments Contacts
