W HAT IS A F RATERNITY A fraternity is a brotherhood. This implies that the basis of union existing among its members is the closest tie which can bind men to one another. In a sense, a fraternity creates a family among its members. Its aim is to bring together in intimate association a comparatively small group of university students who will be congenial, loyal and helpful to one another during their university years and, so far as circumstances will permit, throughout their lives.
