The library houses a collection of departmental theses as well as publications by School of Public Health faculty. The library currently subscribes to approximately 70 journal titles, contains approximately 10,000 books, and provides access to a variety of bibliographic software. Some of the library's more notable possessions are its collections of working papers from the Population and International Health Department and other population institutes worldwide, unpublished papers, and eclectic international materials, including foreign censuses and government publications. History: The Center for Population Studies Library was created in the 1940's to serve the Department of Demography. Over time, the focus of the department shifted, until it became the Department of Population and International Health. The focus of the library also changed, and the collection developed a much broader focus. In 1990, the library was divided, with a reading room being formed at the Center for Population and Development Studies in Cambridge. The Center for Population Studies Library and Center for Population reading room currently focus on a diverse range of topics, including demography, public health, development, nutrition, health economics, epidemiology and ecology.

Students will be able to describe the importance of a good habitat for animals. examples. 4.
