Epilogue to Chapter 1
the universe can be organized into disjoint groups according to
together in one class with all of the other countable sets,
$(0,1)$ among other uncountable sets. One implication of Cantor's
another class, and this process continues indefinitely. Having divided the universe of sets into disjoint groups, it would
be convenient to attach a ``number'' to each collection which
could be used the way natural numbers are used to refer to the
sizes of finite sets. Given a set $X$, there exists something
X$ to be a very particular set that can always be uniquely found
in the same equivalence class as $X$.) Looking back at Cantor's Theorem, we get the strong sense that
be reflected in our new cardinal number system. Specifically, if Restated in this notation, Cantor's Theorem states that for every There are some significant details to work out. A kind of metaphysical problem arises when we realize that an implication of Cantor's Theorem is that there can be no ``largest'' set. A

e-mail: netprimetime@hotmail.com June 5, 2002 It's hard to explain to NTS's (Non-Thornton Students) what exam time was like at Thornton Hall. I try to tell my wife about the art history exams, which would often consist of one question. She thinks it sounds simple. So I have taken the liberty of dramatically recreating what the experience was like. Although there are some artistic liberties with this, surprisingly it is less than any NT's would think Exam - Ancient Egyptian Art History Question: The Palette of Narmer depicts the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt. What was Narmer's wife's cat's name? Explain its historical significance. Panic immediately sets in. What? Narmer! Who the hell is Narmer? What cat? OK the three great pyramids were named after Pharaohs: Kufu, Kafra, and Menkaura. Wait how do you spell Menkaura. Is it Man-Cow-RAY? Damn it! Wait none of this has anything to do with cats. Think, think, think. OK. Think of names. Felix! No. Tom, achh don't be stupid. Felix, wait I already thought of that and it's still wrong. Uhhhhhh?

Just write an email to felix-dnsfaq@fefe.de. Please don't just send questions, send answers. I am not an automated help desk for djbdns, although I do offer commercial support. What is djbdns?
djbdns is a DNS package by DJ Bernstein that consists of
  • dnscache, a caching DNS resolver
  • tinydns, a DNS server
  • pickdns, a load-balancing DNS server
  • walldns, a reverse DNS wall
  • axfrdns, an implementation of an area transfer server
  • a few DNS clients and troubleshooting tools Please note that many people use confusing terminology because of BIND, which integrates a caching DNS resolver and a DNS server into one package, making people say "DNS server" when they are really talking about a "DNS resolver". djbdns separates the resolver and the server, which provides enhanced security and flexibility but when people try to run both on the same IP address (as is default mode of operation for BIND), it will

The BERNSTEIN family circa 1910. Aaron George and Leah and their four sons; Julius, Joseph, Felix and Roland. BERNSTEIN research in West Yorkshire from 1886 Aaron George BERNSTEIN married Leah LANDA in Leeds in 1886. Leah LANDA appears in 1881 census as daughter of Charles LANDA, my great grandfather. But Charles didn't have a daughter Leah! I know this because she was not on the 1871 census. Leah was my great grandmother's daughter. My great grandmother married Charles LANDA after his first wife died. In the 1891 Census of Bradford, Yorks., Aaron George, Leah and Julius were living at 2 Harris Street. With them was a David BLOOMAN (visitor) who was a cousin of Leah's. The registered voter for that property in 1891 was Herman LANDA (son of Charles LANDA, and his first wife Betsey HARRIS). If you want to find out more about the LANDA family, go to their page. AG and Leah went on to found the Yorkshire Woollen Company and lived out their lives in Bradford. Both are buried at Scholemore Lane Cemetery, along with a memorial to Joseph (KIA, France, 1917), Felix (who lost a leg in The Great War and who remained unmarried) and Roland (who married Rose FREEDMAN). Joseph appears on My War Heroes page. [This page has been recently updated after my trip to Ypres in October 2001]

Reviews Great variety of classical wedding music, great for Prelude. This is a great album. It really helped me plan the music that I wanted played at my wedding. It has a great varitey of classical wedding music. It gives you many ideas for your Prelude, Processional and Interlude. It has good sound quality from the original artists. And it's great to listen to after the wedding to relive the memories of that day.
