Praise The Lord
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 KJV It was an unforgettable night of PRAISE with BROTHER ANDREW, "God's Smuggler," OPEN to the Gospel that were formerly closed, there are many others where Christians are still persecuted. We must pray for them and send the Gospel every way we can (like via satellite and the Internet!). Dr. Bill Bright, who has a new program on TBN, gave us a great lesson on the importance of FASTING and prayer.

New Hampshire Cultural Diversity Awareness Council presents the second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Dinner "How to win with diversity." ** Attention: We may not have received your request for information, due to technical gremlins. Please re-submit your request to Waydarjen@aol.com In 1971, Herman Boone and Bill Yoast found themselves in the middle of the national turmoil over the question of state-imposed segregation in public schools. Their real life drama played out during a period of time when Supreme Court rulings were embroiled in controversy from which no one was immune. Thirty years later we still face much of the same challenges, but thanks to the spirit and leadership of men and women such as Bill Yoast and Herman Boone, we live in a nation ready to
win with diversity.

Smith Dominant in Deery Series Win at Boone Speedway
Allbee, Brown, Jones, Jensen also post Super Nationals Warmup Wins
BOONE, Iowa (May 27) – The question from early in the race was if anyone else could run with Mike Smith. The answer was no. Smith moved to the front on the fifth circuit and led the next 35 times around the track in winning the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A. late model main event at Boone Speedway. The victory came as part of the Super Nationals Warmup Special. It was Smith’s first on the I.M.C.A. late model series circuit this season and the 12th of his career. Terry Schlipman took over the top spot in the point standings with his runner-up finish while rookie Ryan Griffith posted his best series finish with a third-place showing. Rounding out the top five were Boone McLaughlin and Joey Gower. Also winning Memorial Day features at Boone were James Allbee in the I.M.C.A. modifieds; Rick Brown in the I.M.C.A. stock cars; and Steve Jones and Chris Jensen in the two I.M.C.A. hobby stock races. Smith started outside Griffith in row two, passing early leader Sam Halstead on the back stretch after a lap five restart. The 1998 Super Nationals champion, Smith pulled away from the field after yellow flags on laps 11 and 16. Schlip-man and Gary Russell chased Smith into lapped traffic at the midway point.

Dear Tubes Fans,
During the past five years it has been my pleasure to maintain and update the "TUBES WORLD TOUR" website.  When I first started the site, the Tubes did not have an official homepage on the internet and I saw a need for a website which would focus on concert reviews, current news, and tape trading.  Since that time, the Tubes have established a fantastic internet presence at http://www.thetubes.com .  As a result, I no longer see a need to continually update this site.  I will, from time to time, update the tape trading section...but otherwise, this site will become an archived tribute to the greatest theatrical band of all time.  I would encourage Tubes fans everywhere to continue to support the Tubes (and former Tubes such as Bill Spooner) by purchasing their recordings and attending their concerts whenever possible.   In closing, I wish each of you the very best.
