William BUTLER Gravesite Also Known as The BUTLER-COCHRAN Home This work was done by Mr. Frank Broderick and donated to me for use on this website. Please send email at pete@alltel.net for permission before using in any manner. I am sure that he would not mind but it is always nice to ask before taking and please make sure to give him credit where credit is due. He has done a lot of work in restoring and maintaining many gravesites and to him we all owe many thanks. Thank you, Mr. Broderick for passing this on and for taking care of those who have gone before us. God willing, I will try to keep up the good work that you have started and if I should go, I pray that someone will step in my place and continue the effort for all our family lines. Below is Mr. Broderick's words with the exception of that, that is in parenthesis. William BUTLER Terry BRUTON From the Court House in Troy take Hwy. 24/27 east toward Biscoe about four blocks and turn right on the Capelsy Road, County Road 1554. Go about 2.3 miles. There is a driveway on the right and probably a gate. This land belongs to John C. WILLIS who married Mary Eileen SMITHERMAN. (I omitted some data here due to privacy) Mary Eileen inherited the property from her father, Sam SMITHERMAN. For a number of years, Mr. Bob BEST (omitted due to privacy) has leased the property for hunting. He has a key to the gate and he is the one who did so much work restoring the graves of William and Terry just because he cared! (I will contact the folks above and ask for permission to insert the data that I have omitted but until then I will leave it this way and as soon as I get their permission, I will add the data that I removed.)
