  • 33. Sealpin English Springer Spaniels At Stud
the way,as well as the polished finished performer in the field.edward repeatedlydescribes cocker Spaniels as all individual little people ,rather than dogs!
    http://gundogs.co.uk/sealpin/csstud.htm
    Cocker Spaniels at Stud
Edward first became involved with Cocker Spaniels in 1997.A nieghbour of ours, with a very nice shooting bitch, whom Edward had trained, wished to breed her, coming to Edward for advice on a suitable stud dog. He duly selected a sound red coloured dog and the bitch produced a lovely litter.
We had four of these puppies, running them on,to see what could be achieved with them. One of those four is Miss Alexandrovna.'Flex' as she is known at home,is one of the sweetest natured and willing little bitches ,one could wish to own. She has currently come 2nd in seven Open Trials and never been 'out of the frame'.
On from her subsequent litter to Racketeer,an increase in cockers about the kennels ,became apparent! Sporting Scene then asked if Edward would be prepared to make a further run of Video's,exclusively on Cockers,to join the already successful Springer and Retrievers series.
Here is where young Wallace entered the scene, arriving from Caithness and standing four square in the yard.with an enquiring "Well whats next?" expression on his face.He became the feature puppy of eight weeks,on the first film and has continued to perform for the public at Crufts and numerous Country Sports Fairs etc.

    Gun-dog training videos
In 1998 Edward Martin was approached by Sporting Scene the makers of some fine sporting videos, to see if there was any possibility of him showing his particular method of training to a wider audience. Several clients had for long been asking him to write a book on his method of training bot puppies, adults and refresher adults, for spaniel and retriever gun-dog. Edward felt the time was now right for the making of a video. Filming took place over a nine month period, from May through to the end of the shooting season the following January. It soon became obvious that there was too much valuable detail for a single video, so the idea of the "Masterclass Series" was born. Quite unlike any previous training videos, this set of videos shows a variety of abilities and standards of gun-dog. Once again the Sealpin attention to detail philosophy is brought into play, paying close attention to making the viewer aware of potential problem areas and how to deal with them. The results have been very warmly recieved by those who have seen and reviewed them and Sealpin hopes that these videos will help an even wider range of people benifit from Edwards experience.

He came to Buffalo, NY, possibly on the SS Atlantic between 1 Dec 1870 and 1 Apr 1873. He married Hannah Greenwood and they had four sons: Herbert Greenwood in 1882, Thomas Edward in 1884, James William in 1886 and Gilbert Greenwood in 1888. James died in 1894 when a boiler he was tending exploded and severely burned him. Does anyone have any information on James? I'm trying to find out who his parents were and the names of his siblings. I know that one of his brothers came to Buffalo before him, which was probably the reason he settled in Buffalo. Post Reply Mark Unread Report Abuse Print Message ... Chelmsford,
Essex CM1 4TN In this article two particular features of the presentation of multiplication tables (or, more accurately, the multiplication table, as it was always referred to) in textbooks are considered namely, the range of numbers to be included in the table and the organisation of the results on the page. The texts in question are all in English and cover the period from around 1300 (when what is thought to be the earliest arithmetical manuscript in English was written) to 1900, after which separate textbooks tended to be written for the Primary and Secondary schools, the latter not usually including tables at all and the former often giving results in partial form at different stages. (However, there was, and still is, considerable variation.) In all some 45 texts are considered. Dates in the body of this text refer to year of original publication. commutative principle (e.g. 3 x 4 = 4 x 3) and thus require children to learn nearly twice as many results as they need. It is therefore startling, perhaps, to find this principle recognised in the very earliest text The Crafte of Nombrynge (c. 1300):
