John and brother William came to New England with William Leete and Henry Whitfield in 1639. They settled at Menankatuck, renaming it Guilford. Mary was born about 1614. She married John STONE in 1642 in New Haven, , Conn. They had the following children: M i Samuel STONE M ii Nathaniel STONE Lt. William BREWSTER [MAYFLOWER] [ Parents was born in 1566/1567 in , , England. He died on 10 Apr 1644 in Plymouth, , Massachusetts. William married Mary [MAYFLOWER] about 1590 in England.
Information on Mayflower passengers can be found at:

says, "English authorities were still searching for William Brewster, who was concealed on the ship." It gives his dod as 18 Apr 1643, and much more on the colony, including:: A NEAR MUTINY
Even before Mayflower anchored off the tip of Cape Cod, there was a near mutiny. The passengers had hired themselves out as indentured servants, promising to work for seven years to pay for their passage. Some of these passengers thought they could do as they pleased since they were outside the bounds of English law. So they threatened to take their freedom as soon as they got on land. The Pilgrim leaders knew it would take a lot of hard work to survive that first winter. They would have to cut down trees and haul logs and thatch to build houses. They knew they would need all the help they could get.

    Julio Herrera
    Special Officer
    D.O.B. May 1st. 1890...D.O.D. July 19th. 1947
Officer Herrera had worked as a Special Officer for the City of Lubbock for 5 years, in the predominately Hispanic part of Lubbock. Officer Herrera was killed on the night of July 19th 1947. While talking with a subject he had arrested earlier that night, another subject, Robert Bustillos ( a bootlegger ) slipped up behind him and took his pistol away from him. A scuffle ensued and Bustillos shot Officer Herrera four times, Bustillos then stabbed Officer Herrera three times, once through the heart. Officer Herrera died on arrival at Lubbock Memorial Hospital. Officer Herrera managed to take the gun away from Bustillos after being shot, but he was too weak to return fire by that time. This occurred on the street in front of Officer Herrera's home. Bustillos was arrested later that night and charged in the murder of Officer Herrera.
Officer Herrera had rendered a valuable service to the Department in several investigations involving residents of Lubbock. He also served as an interpreter for the Department.

    Subject: My memories from Okinawa
Dublin, GA USA good about, off the base was just about impossible. I remember that I would do the best that I could while on duty to protect the Civilians from the service personnel that wanted to abuse them. That is the worse memory that I brought home with me. At that time the Okinawan people were still trying to get their lives back together after the war, and did not need the dreadful things happen to them that some service personnel did. I hope relations are better now. I would love to return to the Island someday, doubt if I ever will. I still remember the ship pulling away from the dock to bring us home, and the band playing Old Lang Syne, I could hardly see the band for the tears in my eyes. Thanks for allowing me to share this.
