It is a bi-monthly news magazine designed for the practicing engineer or technician. Experimental Techniques is devoted to relatively brief and informal "how-to-do-it" or "how-not-to-do-it" articles, emphasizing experimental, analytical and computational techniques and methods. Experimental Techniques is designed for the practicing engineer or technician who must find ingenious means to collect testing and measurement data. To address the needs of the readership, new features and departments will be regularly updated. Some of what is being planned are, field testing, data acquisitions, new/young engineer training, consortiums "Developing Partnerships", student projects, large structures, lecture demonstrations, experimental techniques used in the classroom, "Where Mechanics Matters": Chemical Physics, Chemical Vapor Deposition, applications of mechanics: emerging fields and more. Experimental Techniques also offers the reader information on the latest commercially available hardware and software. This is accomplished with product and literature releases and book reviews. Such information is vital to keeping current with the field.

Green Lawn Cemetery is located at 1000 Greenlawn Ave., Columbus, OH 43223. Phone: (614) 444-1123. There is no fee for record lookups, but there is a $3.00 fee for genealogical copying of records and maps. Call or write the cemetery for details. This beautiful cemetery, covering 360 acres, was established on August 2, 1848 and is still in use. Many of the remains from older cemeteries in the area were moved to this cemetery, though there are not always records of the names on file. For many years there was a separate "colored cemetery" on the grounds and many Union soldiers who died at Camp Chase were buried in section "M." The remains of many of Franklin County's earliest and best known citizens were buried in this cemetery or were later moved here."
For a wonderful online history and trip through this cemetery see Forgotten Ohio Greenlawn Cemetery A red star ( ) in front of a name indicates that the person or family is historically significant in the Columbus area if not nationally or internationally.

Belinda Lazarus This site is Home TEXT TOPICS OUTCOMES ... TOP Dear Students, Welcome to Assessment of the Learner. Assessment is the cornerstone of instructional planning for students with disabilities. In this course you will gain an understanding of the assessment process and how it guides instructional decisions like what we teach, how we teach, when we teach, how much we teach, etc. The course addresses three major areas. First, the whole area of assessment including standardized tests and informal strategies, how to prepare for and conduct assessments, and how to select tests and strategies to ensure results that are valid and unbiased will be examined. Second, tests and strategies for assessing academic achievement, specific academic areas, and learning aptitude are described. And, finally, ways to interpret and use assessment data are addressed. The on-line version of ED N503 enables students to complete the entire course at their own pace anytime, anywhere. The formal term for anytime-anywhere learning is asynchronous learning. Students, will learn the content by reading the assignments, visiting specific web sites, participating in an on-line discussions and then completing and submitting competencies for grading. Once you have completed all of the sessions, I will send to you a final exam that you complete and submit via email to me. You may do all of the sessions at your own pace (e.g., 4 weeks, all semester, 10 weeks, etc.). Only the on-line discussions have deadlines.
