An iced electric piano invites us into the deserted nite-club of Harmony. The haunting bleat of a melodica bids us Welcome. And if these tunes, and the chilling Come Into Our Room, describe a Hitchcockian calm, then the antic clatter of The Equaliser, the nicely negative title track and the ferocious Pet Eunuch embrace the subsequent storm. Walking With Thee will be available on CD, vinyl LP and, in spirit, 8-track cartridge. WALKING WITH THEE

By KEN PETERSON INDIANAPOLIS - One of the most successful seasons in the history of the Chesterton boys swimming program came to an end Saturday afternoon at the IUPUI Natatorium. And to say the 2001-2002 Trojan boys swim team had a great season would be the understatement of this or any other year. Coach Kevin Kinel’s squad, a group that truly defines the meaning of team, turned in a record fifth place showing with 123 points at the 65th IHSAA state finals held at the IUPUI Natatorium. Carmel won the state championship with 299.5 points. South Bend Riley was second with 154, followed by Indianapolis North Central with 153.5 points and Hamilton Southeastern at 149. “We’re finally able to crack into that top five,” a pleased Kinel said after the meet. “These guys would not be denied. We had a few disappointments (Friday) night and they really rallied. (Saturday), we broke four school records. Seth’s in the 50 and 100 (Free), Charlie Lorenz broke Seth’s record in the 500 Free and our 400 Free Relay was a school record. What can you say about these guys? They really rallied.

    http://cometography.com/pcomets/100p.html
      100P/Hartley 1
This CCD image was taken on 1997 March 5.71, using a 0.60-m f/6 Ritchey-Chretien telescope.
      Discovery
Malcolm Hartley (U.K. Schmidt Telescope Unit) discovered this comet on a pair of plates exposed with a 1.2-m Schmidt on 1985 June 13.38 and June 13.48. He estimated the magnitude as 16 and said there was a prominent tail extending over one arc minute toward the southeast.
      Historical Highlights
      • Following Hartley's acquisition of a photo of the comet on July 10, Brian G. Marsden was able to compute an elliptical orbit which he first published on July 18. This revealed a perihelion date of 1985 June 11, a perihelion distance of 1.54 AU, and an orbital period of 5.66 years.
      • During the first apparition, the comet was only kept under observation until August 14, or for barely two months. Subsequently, there was some uncertainty in the orbit. Using the available positions, S. Nakano predicted the comet would next arrive at perihelion on 1991 April 28.75.
      • The comet might have become lost if it was not for the accidental recovery by Carolyn and Eugene Shoemaker and David Levy in 1991. Using the 0.46-m Schmidt at Palomar Observatory, the team announced the discovery of a comet on a pair of plates exposed on 1991 March 12. They described it as magnitude 16.5, diffuse and condensed, with a tail extending over one arc minute. Brian G. Marsden (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) noted the comet was about 16 degrees from the prediction for periodic comet Hartley 1 and was moving similar to what would be expected for that comet. He then computed an orbit that successfully linked the 1985 and 1991 positions, noting that Hartley 1 had passed 0.36 AU from Jupiter during 1988 February. Marsden showed that the comet's perihelion date in 1991 was May 17.68.

February 22-23, 2002 Indiana University Natatorium, IUPUI, Indianapolis The Carmel Greyhounds rolled to their ninth state championship in the last 13 years at the 65 th Annual Boys Swimming and Diving State Finals at the I.U. Natatorium on Saturday, February 23. After winning by 80 points a year ago, coach Ken Stopkotte’s squad began racking up points early on and were never headed, winning by 145.5 points, 299.5-154 over second place South Bend Riley. North Central ( Indpls .) placed third, just .5 behind with Hamilton Southeastern fourth and Homestead rounding out the top five. Carmel got off to a strong start to open the event. After setting a new state meet mark of 1:33.05 in the prelims Friday night, Matt Belcher, Andrew Albright, Brandon Rector and Jason Cousins swam their way to a win in the 200 yard medley relay in 1:34.05 for the first 40 points of the event. Their 400 yard freestyle relay team of Matt Belcher, Chase Hitchens , Mark Enoch and Grant Wieczorek finished off the day in record fashion, defending last year’s title and leaving the rest of the field to chase their 3:04.24 time, which broke the old standard of 3:04.30 that was established in 1994 by Carmel and pushed them six seconds in front of runner-up South Bend Riley. The only individual winner for the Greyhounds was Andrew Albright who finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke in 57.19, barely .13 ahead of Hamilton

Brian Cvilikas Scores Golden Goal to Lead ODU Past Drexel 3-2 Vendegh adds two more goals Oct. 26, 2002 Freshman Brian Cvilikas (Highlands Ranch, CO) scored his second career goal in double overtime to lead the Old Dominion University men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Drexel in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) match on Saturday night at the ODU Soccer Stadium. Cvilikas put in the golden goal at the 106:41 mark when Kyle Hartley (Va. Beach, VA) fired a cross from the right side to him as he flew down the left flank and netted the winning shot. For the second night in a row Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) found the back of the net two times. He scored the lone goal of the first half as ODU would hold a 1-0 halftime lead. Vendegh also scored the first tally of the second period to put the Monarchs up 2-0. However, after getting off only two shots in the first half, the Dragons came storming back in the next period. Dan Zajac led the comeback charge with both Drexel goals when he scored at 65:37 and again at 83:41.
