Also included are secondary studies on such areas as linear and multilinear algebra and what in the early nineteenth century such British algebraists as George Peacock and Charles Babbage called "symbolical algebra" which had an influence on the research in logic of such men as Boole, Charles Peirce, Schroeder, and Whitehead, among others.
