[...] C'est à mon père que je dois l'essentiel de mon éducation et de ma formation scientifique. C'est grâce à lui qu'à 11 ans je connaissais les nombres premiers, étais un adepte du darwinisme, étais passionné par la science, m'imaginant qu'elle avait tout expliqué. Aussi au Lycée de Nantes, l'enseignement de la chimie et de la physique m'ont un peu déçu. On ne m'introduisait pas dans les arcanes de leur théorie.
