Phi Beta Kappa reactivates chapterat Wilson College
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Phi Beta Kappa , the nation's oldest and most prestigious undergraduate honors organization, has reactivated its Nu of Pennsylvania Chapter at Wilson College. The decision, announced today at a press conference at the College's Chambersburg campus, makes Wilson one of only 255 colleges in the United States — and one of only 18 women's colleges in the United States and Canada — authorized to induct outstanding students into the Society. Wilson's chapter, which dates from 1950, was suspended in 1980 during a financial crisis that nearly resulted in the College's closing. The reactivation came after a lengthy evaluation by Phi Beta Kappa of Wilson's academic programs and its financial status.

Agency Contact List/Links To assist in preparation of State Environmental Policy Act Documents for Activities Permitted by the NC Division of Water Quality Before preparing either an Environmental Assessment (EA) or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), you should first contact the appropriate DWQ SEPA representative to discuss the proposed project to make sure that first an EA is required, and, second, whether or not there is a likelihood an EIS would be required. The DWQ representative can also discuss with you the appropriate scoping method for the proposed project. There are two ways to receive scoping comments on a proposed EA; 1) you can either circulate a scoping request through the Environmental Bulletin ( Department of Administration's Clearinghouse ), or 2) you can contact appropriate governmental agencies directly. It is recommended that scoping for an EIS be accomplished through the Clearinghouse, and not through direct agency contact. The list below is intended to be used when contacting agency representatives directly for scoping an EA. These are government agency representatives who will typically review EAs and EISs and/or may provide valuable input into their preparation. The DWQ SEPA contact should indicate which of the agencies and names on this list you should contact. Contacting these agencies ahead of time will assist you in determining what information needs or concerns that they recommend be included or addressed in the document. While contacting each agency is not required, experience indicates that early coordination is generally effective in avoiding potentially lengthy delays during formal State review of the EA.
