United States Court of Appeals For the First Circuit No. 99-1385 STACEY PERKINS, p.p.a. TERRI PERKINS, Plaintiff, Appellant, v. LONDONDERRY BASKETBALL CLUB, Defendant, Appellee. APPEAL FROM THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF NEW HAMPSHIRE [Hon. Paul J. Barbadoro, U.S. District Judge Before Selya, Circuit Judge Campbell, Senior Circuit Judge and Boudin, Circuit Judge Linda S. Johnson , with whom Rachel A. Hampe Ann Marie Dirsa , and were on brief, for appellant. Joseph L. Hamilton , with whom Hamilton Law Offices was on brief, for appellee. SELYA, Circuit Judge Plaintiff-appellant Stacey Perkins, suing by and through her mother and next friend, Terri Perkins, alleges that defendant-appellee Londonderry Basketball Club (LBC) violated the Fourteenth Amendment when it refused to allow her to play in a youth basketball tournament because of her gender. The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, discerning no state action, resolved the constitutional claim adversely to the appellant (albeit without reaching the merits) and declined to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the appellant's pendent state-law claims. We affirm.

After this letter has been read to you , see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea It is interesting to note that 1/3 of the 66 books ofthe Bible is in the form of " letters ".The last 22 books of Scripture are letters written by the apostles to the churches and their co-workers. It is alsointeresting to note that there are 22 Hebrew letters in all, from Aleph to Tav (see Psalm 119) , i.e. from Alpha toOmega. If it seems coincidental that there are 22 Hebrew alphabets ( letters ) and 22 Epistles ( letters ) and both sets are " letters ", I would rather attribute that to the wisdom of God displayed. Do write in your letters to be read by all and do read the letters from all. May the grace of God be with you. Please send your letters, questions, articles or reports to John Tng at spirit5@singnet.com.sg Please note that it is impossible for even two like-minded souls to agree on everything. You should read these letters with this in mind and pray for understanding from the Spirit of Truth. Thank you.

Napoleon's First Waterloo
This script comes from Mad Mad Mad Comedians , a 30 minute cel animated special produced by Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass, screened at 8:30 pm in 7 April 1970 by ABC. The show featured animated versions of famous comics like W.C. Fields, Jack Benny, George Burns, Henny Youngman, The Smothers Brothers, Flip Wilson, Phyllis Diller, Jack E. Leonard, George Jessel, and the Marx Brothers. All of them provided the voices for their own characters except for W.C. Fields and Chico (who had passed away) and Zeppo (who had been retired from showbiz since 1933). Those voices were done by Paul Frees. Romeo Muller is credited as having written "special material" for the show, but the script for the classic "Napoleon Scene" was probably supplied by Groucho. Although not remembered by the general public, "Mad Mad Mad Comedians" at the time gave producers Rankin/Bass their highest ratings ever. This version of the "Napoleon Scene" is available in Real Audio on Frank Bland's "Why A Duck"-site, in the Streaming Audio Files section.

Tiger Basketball History The early years
  • In the 1920s, West Tennessee State Normal School played its games in the Normal Cage, the YMCA and the Messick High School gym. The Normal Cage was a room in the Administration Building with the floor marked with the dimensions of a basketball court. The court allowed barely six inches from the court sidelines to the room's walls.
  • Memphis Normal's first head coach was Frederick Grantham, who also started for the Tigers at forward. Grantham led U of M to a 22-8 record in his only season as player/coach. At this time, the Tigers were members of the Scholastic League and finished second in 1920-21.
  • The winningest coach in Memphis history is Zach Curlin, who began his coaching career in 1924. Curlin was Mr. Everything, coaching basketball, baseball and football for 23 years at Memphis, while also serving as director of athletics and physical education. The Tigers lost to Memphis YMCA on Feb. 27, 1925 for the city championship.
  • In the Jan. 25, 1925, Commercial Appeal, it was stated that "popular prices" for Tiger games would be 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for students and children.

    MUSEUM GUIDE
Ready, Set, Go: See the Smithsonian Fast
In an ideal world, visitors would be able to give the ten Smithsonian sites on the Mall all the time they deserve. In the real world, visiting relatives often have just a day to spare. For starters, call 202-357-2700 and ask for a previsit packet. You'll get maps, transportation information, a dining guide, and the list of new and temporary exhibits. You might also explore the Smithsonian's Web site, www.si.edu, for the latest on exhibits and times. Travel light, but one thing worth carrying is The Official Guide to the Smithsonian, which you can find at any of the museum bookstores. The book costs $9.95 and lists the highlights of each museum along with easy-to-read floor plans. Launch your day at the National Air and Space Museum. It's a block away from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro With its greatest treasures in two large galleries, Air and Space makes for quick touring. The first, Milestones of Flight, is a soaring, 82-foot-high space meant to be viewed from two levels. After stopping to touch a piece of moon rock collected by Apollo 17 astronauts, walk around John Glenn's Mercury spacecraft and try to imagine how he stayed cooped up in such a space for nine hours. Then look overhead and see the Wright brothers' 1903 Flyer

New Year's Eve Choral Services The 31st December being the fifth Sunday of the month, there will be the customary joint morning service with our friends at St. Nicholas', Rotherfield Greys. On this occasion, the 10.30 a.m. Choral Eucharist will take place at Greys and members of All Saints' Choir have been kindly invited to swell the ranks in the chancel. By way of a 'return match', Peppard will host a Choral Evensong at 6.30 p.m. that evening, when members of Greys' Choir and other friends will join us at All Saints' for this special Millennium Service. Music will include works by Henry Walford Davies, Charles Villiers Stanford, Charles Wood and John Rutter. Choir music in December Evening Prayer at 6.30 p.m. on Advent Sunday will include Come, Lord, come , a devotional sequence devised by John Harper, Director General of the Royal School of Church Music. It contains readings and music, much of which is based on plainsong and words from the monastic tradition. It will be a period of quiet reflection on the coming of Our Lord.

    91. Eulerjev Problem
Najboljši algoritem za rešitev iz labirinta je objavil gaston Tarryleta 1895. Njegova metoda pa temelji na naslednjem pravilu
    http://www.educa.fmf.uni-lj.si/izodel/sola/1999/ura/boldin/eulerjev_problem.htm
