Cased 8" brass surveyors level attributed to ' of Edinburgh c.1810. Late Victorian Surveyors / Architects 2 " pocket level This is a smashing little 2 " brass cased water filled level in a 2-piece turned beech case. It would fit nicely into the gentlemans waistcoat pocket so he could make random checks on skirting boards, sills, mantels etc.. C.1900. No damage. £68 ($108)
W.F. Stanley cased Surveying level and tripod. This is a super set! It's a smaller sized inverting tilting level with three levelling screws on the base, sun shield, degree graduated arc for horizontal movement, graduated column for vertical tilt and two water filled spirit levels. The pictures show this as a bluey-grey colour, but in actual fact it is black! The main frame is brass with the black 'crackle effect' covering. The graduated scales are either polished steel or nickel. This piece comes complete with the original A-frame solid mahogany tripod also stamped 'W.F.S.' The levels transit box is solid mahogany, and the distressing shown in the picture is the loss of some of the original varnish. The extra lens is mounted in the top lid, and the brush and two adjustment rods in the bottom. Size of level with sun shade retracted is: approx 23cm long by 19cm high. Box size is: 28cm x 21cm x 16cm. Dates to around 1910-20. Nice quality piece. £275 ($440) ** This price reflects the adjustment needed for postage outside of the UK, if you are

its substance. He has been excessively praised by Schopenhauer, whose appreciation of the author induced him to translate the Ordculo manual, and he has been unduly depreciated by Ticknor and others. He is an acute thinker and observer, misled by his systematic misanthropy and by his fantastic literary theories. See Karl Borinski, Baltasar Gracidn und die Hoflitteratur in Deutschlaed (Halle, 1894); Benedetto Croce, I Trattatisti Italians del “conceltismo “ e Baltasar Gracidn (Napoli, 1899); Narciso José Liñán y Heredia, Baltasar Gracidn (Madrid, 1902). Schopenhauer and Joseph Jacobs have respectively translated the Ordculo manual into German and English. GRACKLE (Lat. Gracculus or Graculus), a word much used in ornithology, generally in a vague sense, though restricted to members of the families Sturnidae belonging to the Old World and Icteridae belonging to the New. Of the former those to which it has been most commonly applied are the species known as mynas, mamas, and minors of India and the adjacent countries, and especially the Gracula religiosa of Linnaeus, who, according to Jerdon and others, was probably led to confer this epithet upon it by confounding it with the Sturnus or Acridotheres tristis,1 which is regarded by the Hindus as sacred to Ram Deo, one of their deities, while the true Gracula religiosa does not seem to be anywhere held in veneration. This last is about 10 in. ~‘~i Gracula religiosa.

43. DOCTOR WHO REVIEWS:HARTNELL AND TROUGHTON
Watch out for troughton crackingup when Zoe rescues him from the foam outsidethe As usual, Philip Madoc and edward Brayshaw turn-in sterling performances.
http://members.aol.com/hehehedc/docs12.html
DOCTOR WHO - STORY BY STORY WILLIAM HARTNELL An Unearthly Child
Obviously this story is a bit special but in truth, whilst the first episode does it's job of introducing the series very well, it is rather slow and tedious. The remaining episodes however are surprisingly dramatic and violent and feature some nice direction from Waris Hussein. The cave scenes are particularly well lit. RATING: 6/10 Watch out for: Ian's camp staggering around when the TARDIS takes-off is particularly bad. The Daleks
Another story that it is difficult to be objective about because of it's "legendary" status. The Daleks themselves are impressive (although their voices begin to get a little wearing after a while) and the story is certainly ambitious but suffers from a plot that is terribly slow-moving and concentrates too much on the very wet Thals, for whom it is difficult to summon up much sympathy. Fine performance from Hartnell though and Jacqueline Hill and William Russell are already showing signs of being the perfect companions. RATING: 7/10 Watch out for: Susan being pursued through the petrified forest - lots of stagehands slap her with plants while she runs on the spot.

47. The 2nd Doctor: Patrick Troughton
He has also starred in the following TV shows edward II, The Adventures of RobinHood (numerous parts troughton is a good Doctor, but ranks only 6th sorry!
http://www.geocities.com/morbelle/seconddoctor.htm
Patrick Troughton during his stint as the Doctor. The 2 nd Doctor: Patrick Troughton The 2 nd Doctor joined during the start of Season 4, and lasted through to the end of Season 6. Again, a lot of Patrick’s stories no longer exist. Those that do are mainly centred on outer space, especially towards the end of his time as the Doctor. The Cybermen are the 2 nd Doctor’s main foes, although the DaleksEmake two appearances in Season 4. Missing stories included: The Power of the Daleks, The Evil of the Daleks, Fury From the Deep and The Space Pirates (save Ep 2). Patrick made three more apperances as the Doctor, more so than any other actor to play the Doctor, in The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors and The Two Doctors. Patrick was born in 1920 and sadly passed away on 28th March 1987 during a Dr Who convention. He fought in the 2nd World War working on minesweepers, and was captain of a ship by D-day. A very shy man, Patrick always appeared in costume for any Dr Who conventions, and declined to answer questions about his private life. From 1977 onwards he was dogged with health problems, which sadly curtailed his career. Often seen as the quintessential Who (along with Tom Baker) his varied acting talents has meant that he has starred in many roles, Dr Who being the best known of them. Patrick has also starred in the following films: The Moonraker (1958), Jason and the Argonauts, Scars of Dracula, The Omen and A Hitch in Time. He has also starred in the following TV shows: Edward II, The Adventures of Robin Hood (numerous parts thereof), Colditz: The Traitor, Inspector Morse and was due to star in several other shows, one of which was Aladdin, before his untimely demise.
