About the Dictionary

Using the Dictionary
E
e
a symbol for the electric charge on one electron. Since the charges on other particles in atomic physics are whole-number multiples of this charge, the symbol e is often used as a unit of measure. 1 e is equal to approximately 160.217 764 62 x 10 coulomb , or 160.217 764 62 zeptocoulombs (zC).
e
a mathematical unit used as the base of "natural" logarithms and exponentials. The real number e is irrational, which means that its decimal expansion is infinite and non-repeating. To 25 significant digits e equals 2.718 281 828 459 045 235 360 287. Of the many properties of this number, the most important is that the rate of change in the function e x is equal to the value of the function itself. As a result, the larger the value of this function is, the faster the function grows: the behavior we call "exponential growth." The Swiss mathematician Leonard Euler (1707-1783) introduced the symbol e , probably because it is the first letter of the word "exponential." Other mathematicians continued to use the letter in his honor, sometimes calling it Euler's constant.

There are almost no places at the berth areas which would be free from alga coatings.
Numerous publications have focussed attention on the investigation on the life of the linked artificial underlayer (Periphyton) . The investigations surrounding these berths areas promises to be worthwhile.

the ensemble modern are still very active. their home page is at:

, and it contains full biographies of each member. it's worth checking out. (also see mark beam's story; he created the shark.) this is a supposedly a fully finished album, sitting in the zappa vault, pining to be released to the public.
other treasures we can hope for in the future could include a home video of a yellow shark performance, and a documentary called aaafnraa; kind of a video counterpart to everything is healing nicely. from: ensemble moderne
we are creating an exiting new project with zappa material for june 2000, using existing material that has never been on stage before. at that time i will be getting into contact with presenters in the us who would be interested.

• Abstract: We have used LIL beam test facilities for radiation hardness tests of Shashlik calorimeter and tried to establish conditions for future radiation hardness tests of different CMS subdetectors. Shashlik towers have been irradiate with 500 Mev electrons and have received doses of 1 and 5 Mrad. Before and after irradiation we have measured dependence of light yield on longitudinal position of Cobalt source and energy resolution to see the effects of radiation damage.
