THE SURPRISING ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN
By Rudolph Erich Raspe Project Gutenberg File Converted into HTML pages by Nalanda Digital Library
CHAPTER II /In which the Baron proves himself a good shotHe loses his horse, and finds a wolfMakes him draw his sledgePromises to entertain his company with a relation of such facts as are well deserving their notice./ I set off from Rome on a journey to Russia, in the midst of winter, from a just notion that frost and snow must of course mend the roads, which every traveller had described as uncommonly bad through the northern parts of Germany, Poland, Courland, and Livonia. I went on horseback, as the most convenient manner of travelling; I was but lightly clothed, and of this I felt the inconvenience the more I advanced north-east. What must not a poor old man have suffered in that severe weather and climate, whom I saw on a bleak common in Poland, lying on the road, helpless, shivering, and hardly having wherewithal to cover his nakedness? I pitied the poor soul: though I felt the severity of the air myself, I threw my mantle over him, and immediately I heard a voice from the heavens, blessing me for that piece of charity, saying "You will be rewarded, my son, for this in time."

Cub Scout Pack 114,
Rudolph Wisconsin
Cub Scouting is a favorite pastime for many Rudolph area families. Pack 114 is a very active pack, with 41 boys registered for the 2000-2001 school year. The Pack is run by parents of the boys, who volunteer their time. Cub Scouts are boys in grades 1 through 5. These boys have a lot of fun, and learn an awful lot at the same time! Shown below is a photo of some of our 1998 Pinewood Derby cars. Check the links to the left for more info on the fun that our Pack has! click to enlarge Last Revised:

CHARLES OSGOOD, host: (Footage of Bandaloop performing; canyons in Yosemite National Park) RITA BRAVER reporting: (Voiceover) No, this is not a special effect. These people really are dancing 2,500 feet over Yosemite National Park. They are members of Project Bandaloop, a troupe dedicated to expanding the boundaries of dance, to define principles of gravity, to challenging perceptions of space. Their founder and guiding spirit is 37-year-old Amelia Rudolph, a longtime modern dancer and choreographer, who took up mountain climbing about 12 years ago. When did it sort of go, bingo, I can put these two together for you?

93. Hot Topics: Inside The Mind Of Rudolph Giuliani
Inside the Mind of rudolph Giuliani. What makes Rudy Giuliani tick? Dick Wolfand Oliver Platt get some inspiration from Press Club members, for Deadline
http://www.newyorkpressclub.org/giuliani.htm
Inside the Mind of Rudolph Giuliani What makes Rudy Giuliani tick? Just about everyone in New York has a strong opinion on the man and his years in the mayor's office, so the room was packed when Rudy G. book authors Wayne Barrett and Andrew Kirtzman appeared at an August 23rd New York Press Club panel discussion at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, moderated by New York Post City Hall bureau chief David Seifman.
It takes a lot to stump City Hall pros (from left to right) David Seifman, Wayne Barrett and Andrew Kirtzman, but even they had no answer to one question which kept popping up: namely, what's next for Rudy G.? The books by Barrett and Kirtzman were in a race to the bookstores throughout the year 2000. It was "a friendly rivalry" between the two pros, according to Kirtzman, but a deadly serious one between the publishers, according to Barrett, who says "they were really out to kill each other!"
The always-changing story of Rudy G. didn't make things any easier as the two reporters raced to the finish line with their manuscripts. Kirtzman recalls watching the sun come up as he finally wrote the last page of his book and went to bed, only to be awakened a few hours later with the news that Giuliani was pulling out of the race for the Senate.
