    Unit Administrator: Carolyn Hartley Tel: Fax: The Centre for Population Studies (CPS) is a research unit within the of the . CPS is engaged in the measurement and explanation of population trends and in the evaluation of attempts to modify them. With 20 academic and academic-related staff, CPS represents the largest research group in Britain concerned with demography, reproductive health research, and related disciplines. The Centre is active in research both on Britain and other developed countries and in research on the developing world, where it has a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and parts of Latin America. CPS has strong programmes of research in the demography of ageing, reproductive health and the demographic impact of the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Other fields of research in which the Centre is active include family demography, medical demography and the indirect estimation of fertility and mortality in the developing world. It also hosts

    times since Jan. 1, 2001 The Center for Demography and Popualtion Health at Florida State University is an autonomous, interdisciplinary unit of the College of Social Sciences. The Center's mission is to coordinate population research and training throughout the university by bringing together faculty and students from various academic departments and programs. Center faculty engage in a variety of demographic research, and the Center offers graduate-level training in population studies, including a program leading to a Master of Science degree in Demography. The Center also facilitates an undergraduate program leading to a Certificate in Demographics.
    The Center is the only unit within the State University System of Florida which is wholly dedicated to teaching, research, and service in population. Faculty members (both Core and Affiliated) teach both graduate and undergraduate students as well as conduct research and perform professional services.

    This bibliography, produced by the Population Studies Centre, University of Western Ontario, covers research on Canada's population. The material originates in such primary sources as journals, books, research monographs, doctoral dissertations and government publications. It also covers such topical publications as working paper and discussion paper series. Items published in French and English are included.

    The search screens and software require a browser that is Java and Javascript enabled. The database contains material gathered since the last printed Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Demography (1990-1994). This, and the previous two volumes (1966-1982 and 1983-1989) can be ordered from the Population Studies Centre. All future work on this bibliography will be incorporated into the online database. To order the older, printed bibliographies at $5.00 each, send a cheque or money order in Canadian or US dollars (orders less than $50.00 must be prepaid).
