that brand new thing called Playboy
F ourteen years separate my lover, T , and I. It's not much of an age gap now that we're older, but we have some tangible differences. Take sex: Necking and petting were as radical to his teen years as fucking was to mine, but where he was doing it to early-60s folk music, I was precociously doing it to the tail end of the Woodstock generation and (fortunately) well ahead of disco. Each in our own way, we were pushing the envelop of our times. Our age difference does present us with some amusing moments, too. I don't remember what prompted this discussion certainly it was something date-stamped 1956 but somehow we got onto the subject of what T did out of sexual curiosity the year I was bound in swaddling clothes. "I went to the drug store and bought this sex digest. It wasn't much, but it was about sex."

As a gynecologist currently in exercise and a sex therapist in a Hospital for more than 20 years, I can help to open out your sexuality and to overcome any problem regarding sexology : premature ejaculation, vaginismus, impotence or sexual breakdowns, anorgasmia, frigidity.
On this site you will find two spaces: Questions-Answers This space answers questions usually asked in a sexology consultation and you will find regular updating on answers to new questions about sexuality. To know the answers to the most often asked questions about sexuality click here Treat a sexual problem F irst of all, what is sexology and why call on a sex therapist? Sexology is the study of smooth or faulty functioning of sexuality. After several years of specific medical and psycho-behavioral training ( personally I am also a gynecologist but it is not in my quality as a doctor that I come up on this site but on my sole quality as a sex therapist ) a sex therapist will help you to understand your sexuality and this will give you the means to overcome your sexual problem if it is not from a medical origin : Problems of premature ejaculation , vaginismus, anorgasmia, momentary sexual breakdowns, frigidity, hardly ever have a medical origin.

Interview with Eli Coleman, Ph.D.,
President of the World Association of Sexology
on the 15th World Congress of Sexology in Paris, June 2001 4. How does WAS get financiated?
WAS is financed solely by the dues from its member associations. a.) In which states WAS has the most members? Remember, that WAS is an organization of organizations. So while we probably have more member organizations in Latin America - we probably have the most number of representatives in the sexological organizations in North America and Europe. c.) Where is WAS the most successful? WAS has been most successful in hosting its 15 World Congresses which provide networking opporunties for intercultural exchange. Now, with our relationship to WHO, we are moving into the area of developing strategies to promote sexual health around the world. We also have been very successful in promoting our Declaration of Sexual Rights and have started doing more advocacy work as well. d.) Where does WAS have the smallest number of members and the least success?

Sex on a Way Out Campus , sexology Magazine, April, 1968. sexology Magazine simplystole the photo, without attribution. The article itself is pretty funny.

"Sex on a Way Out Campus", Sexology Magazine, April, 1968
Here is a photo of my Campus Sexual Rights Forum table on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. The girl in the photo is Joyce Kaskey, whom I paid $1.25 per hour to sit at this table, sell buttons and discuss issues of sexual freedom with passers-by. The sign in the photo says "Campus Sexual Rights Forum", which was the name of my registered on-campus student organization with Sam Sloan as the President. The sign is in my handwriting.
Sexology Magazine, April, 1968
The caption to the photo reads: "Above photo is a scene on the Berkeley Campus in California, 1966, where a student group campaigns for liberalized sex laws." The authorities in Sproul Hall would not allow us to use the name "Sexual Freedom League", as it conjured up images of wild sex orgies, but they would allow us to call ourselves the Campus Sexual Rights Forum, a group dedicated to discussing intellectual matters pertaining to sexual rights. Of course, while we were discussing these weighty matters pertaining to individual rights and liberties, we could do other things as well, such as engaging in sex orgies.

Excerpt about "Masturbation, female" from Sexology , by Prof. William H. Walling, A.M., M.D. (1912, Puritan Publishing Company, Philadelphia, U.S.A. and Hanley, England)
Sexology today is a scientific study of sexual behavior. The present book is a guide for married couples and is still anchored to Victorian times, as the excerpt will show.
Prof. Walling - see his portrait, below - uses language we seldom hear today outside of a Protestant church, reflecting his era's ties to a formal, romantic and, of course, Victorian century. It's oratory, written for speeches.

79. Eastern Sexology
JR's Rare Books and Commentary. Eastern Sexual Practices What Burton's researchinto The Arabian Nights tells us. Original texts by Sir Richard F. Burton.
http://www.jrbooksonline.com/eastern_sexology.htm
Eastern Sexual Practices: What Burton's research into The Arabian Nights tells us Original texts by Sir Richard F. Burton These rare texts were heavily censored by the Victorians due to their sexually explicit nature. They originally appeared as part of the complete 16-volume Arabian Nights , actually called The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night, as published in 1885-8 by the Kamashastra Society in Benares, India, "for private subscribers only" (first pic below shows a similar, but later edition). It had to be done in this fashion, as publishing the material openly in England would have been against the anti-obscenity laws. But in our supposedly "permissive" times, with wall-to-wall sex in our media, this material is, oddly, rarely seen. Why? Read it for yourself and find out. Burton names names, with specific locations, ethnic groups and even some people! There is nothing here that was too "taboo" for Burton to address. Warning: these texts may be offensive to some, but at least there are NO graphics. All volume and page references are to the 16 volume "Burton Club" edition.
