http://www.seweb.uci.edu/urp_home.html
The Department
In the midst of global and regional change, UCI has endeavored to maintain a center where progressive thought remains firmly linked to positive action. This comes together in a program in planning, policy, and design for the 21st century: an institution where sustainable governance, community action, and technology come together. The University of California, Irvine's Department of Urban and Regional Planning offers Master's and PhD programs, as well as a new PhD in Planning, Policy, and Design. Our department, which numbers seventeen full-time faculty members, a large number of associated faculty, and increasing numbers of outstanding graduate students, continues to grow in depth and reach. It is an environment that allows researchers to establish linkages between a great number of areas, including sustainability, affordable housing, international political institutions, organizational design, poverty, built form, and social justice, all under the framework of Social Ecology.
The Place
For a hundred years, Southern California has been the future of urbanization. These changes are nowhere more apparent than in Orange County. Home to several clusters of high technology business, vibrant and diverse communities, a large immigrant population, and world class performing arts centers, Orange County is an exciting place for study and professional engagement. Whatever your interest in urban planning, public policy, or ecological design, you will find it here.

Kongresse/ Tagungen/ Veranstaltungen Die Entwicklung der Architekturausbildung ist eng verbunden mit der wechselvollen Geschichte der Weimarer Kunst- und Architekturschulen. The development of architectural training closely correlates with the changing history of the art and architectural schools in Weimar. As early as 1921, regular architectural training was offered in Weimar at the then College of Trade and Building Art - the successor of the Bauhaus. Today, around 1500 students study within the Faculty of Architecture/Urban and Regional Planning on the courses Architecture, Architecture - Urban and Regional Planning, and in the master programme and doctorate studies in European Urban Studies. The training is directed toward the cultivationof professional work skills. The scientific/artistic education at the University is oriented toward problematic fields, which are handled together with other disciplines. Possible areas are, for example: ecology, building economy, building technology, building design and research topics. home up service

Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning
The Graduate Program at the University of Iowa offers a Masters degree (either MA or MS) in Urban and Regional Planning. Areas of concentration include: land-use and environmental planning; transportation planning; housing and community development; and economic development policy. The faculty at Iowa have published on a diverse range of planning-related topics. The following is a partial list of issues currently receiving special research attention: American growth management policy (and its impact on local growth); transportation policy including the development of smart highways, and the environmental justice impacts of highways development; the provision of housing for low and moderate income Americans; improving the mobility of the poor; the cost to taxpayers of economic development policy and the effect of that policy on local economic growth; GIS and 3-Dimensional visualizations of land development; and the interaction among planners, politicians and the populace. We have created a dedicated alumni site - it includes a list of alumni e-mail addresses, a threaded discussion forum (we encourage posts of recent job openings) and an extensive set of links to current job opportunities.
