My name is Ron and bicycling is my favorite sport. I like to ride both mountain bikes and road bikes. I live in Union City, California, USA, which is between San Jose and Oakland on the east side of San Francisco Bay. I (used to) work as an engineer at a high-tech start-up company called Terawave Communications.
I've put together some descriptions and pictures of some of the riding opportunities in the area. Take a look. I don't have much now, but I'll keep adding to it as time permits.

    About Bicycling in the Area
There are many great places to ride in the area.
Mountain bike riding can be found within 2 miles of Union City in Dry Creek and Garin Park s. These are fire road trails and some are quite steep. There are miles and miles of trails, yet I seldom see anyone riding on them. You can see the entire Bay Area from the top of the ridge in Garin Park where the elevation is around 1,500 feet.
If you want a real mountain biking challenge, try
