Want to Sail ?
"When discovering new oceans,
one must first have courage
to lose sight of the shore..."
Access Dinghies were designed to appeal to that huge majority of the world's population who would love to have a go at sailing, but find it too difficult or uninviting to do so. Whether as a recreation, a competition sport or a therapeutic activity; the Access Dinghy design features allow total novices of any ability to sail with little or no tuition, nearly regardless of the conditions. Around the world, Access Dinghies are introducing whole new communities to sailing. Apart from the development of revolutionary sailing craft and supportive equipment - Access Dinghy Sailing System (ADSS) also fosters the formation and development of the innovative "accessible sailing" network throughout the world.
Let us help you start an "Accessible Sailing Club" in your area.

Why....Dinghy Sailing? Dinghy Sailing? Do it for the adrenalin rush! There is nothing like a sunny late Autumnal day on the south coast of England for exhilarating and memorable sailing. Photo courtesy of UK Dinghy Racing The wind heaves at a force 5 to 6 , the sun leaves the field in the west and leaves behind a blood-soaked like battle field of reds and oranges. The shift down in temperature irritates the wind. It squeals and squawks its way across the estuary banks cutting through lines of stationery boats stopping only to rattle any loose fabric or rope. The familiar tingling sound of halyards scratching against metal masts conjure a cacophony of sound that wraiths might create.

We are a small independent Sailing School; situated within Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, near Marlow in Buckinghamshire. Established in 1991 we are a Royal Yachting Association recognised teaching establishment. Dinghy sailing courses take place mainly between April and September, on the River Thames and follow the RYA Dinghy Sailing Scheme for both adults and juniors. We specialise in small group beginners training using a range of dinghies supported by fast safety boats. The highest standards of supervision, safety equipment, buoyancy jackets and first aid facilities are provided. Our instructor to student ratio is one to six enabling maximum attention to each student's progress. Students do not need to purchase specialist clothing, all that is needed is a windproof jacket, soft soled shoes, a change of clothes and a towel. All students are allotted their own boat, buoyancy jackets are provided and all courses are supported by a fast safety boat. Although we specialise in beginner's training many of our clients return each season to improve their sailing techniques. Should our range of courses not cater for your needs or the thought of learning in small groups not appeal, training can be provided on a more personal basis using both single handed and double handed boats by arrangement.
