nike triax 250 sports watch - from watchzone.com... Win every start! The Nike Triax 250 - Can't find the right watch for sailing? Nike may have designed the ideal watch for runners but the Triax recipe also fits the needs for competitive yacht racing of all denominations. ( review by Mojo Dave ) In addition to the stylish design (that's rugged enough to endure anything I could throw at it) you will immediately notice the size and clarity of the ergonomically angled display. If you're into any sport where a 2 second glance is 1.5 second too long then with the Nike Triax you'll be around long enough to appreciate the thoughtful design.

New Members
If you need help or advice in any aspect of dinghy sailing there is usually someone at hand to help. The Club Steward will advise or put you in contact with an experienced member of the club. The club has craft and all necessary equipment for hire by anyone starting out in the sport, and hire charges are significantly lower for club members.
RYA Courses
There are a number of training courses held between April and September each year for the RYA level 1 and 2 dinghy certificates. These courses are usually held on Saturdays, using the clubs facilities and equipment. If the courses are full, or at the wrong time to suit your needs, then there are several full time RYA sailing schools in the area who offer all levels of sailing courses.
Dinghy Racing
(28K JPG Image)
2002 Racing Programme
Most racing at Black Swan uses a handicap system based on type of craft. Racing takes place on Sunday mornings throughout the year, with additional racing on Thursday evenings during the Summer months. These races are organised in a friendly (but competitive!) manner by the Race Officer of the day. Race Officers are selected from a rota of members who race on a regular basis.

Learn in a Dinghy
A sailing dinghy is very responsive. Because the boat is small and light, any changes you make in steering, sail trim and shifting your weight give quick feedback. You can really "feel" the boat sail. The helmsman does everything on board, providing a more complete understanding of how things work. The smaller size of a dinghy is less intimidating and launching from a beach is quick and easy. In a dinghy, it is easy to understand the effect of Your actions, the effect of the wind, and to feel the boat quickly respond.

The Club has changed location we now sail out of Denver Sluice, on the River Ouse. Denver Sailing Club is situated just outside Downham Market, the club is well established and offers a friendly atmosphere in pleasant surroundings with good facilities. The club has two Enterprise dinghies and a single-handed Laser 1 for those more experienced helms. As well as the joy of leisurely sailing up and down the river, the more competitive amongst you may want to try racing. Denver offers a full racing programme at weekends providing you hold a minimum of RYA level two certificate. You may also wish to represent the Station? A number of events organised by RAFSA are available at venues around the country, where you can compete against other Stations either team racing (RNLI) or race as an individual (RAF Championships "The Brady Cup"). Last year Marham were finalists in the RNLI Trophy sadly losing out to Wyton.
