2002 Queensland Champions September 15th 2002 John Mitchels Gaelic Football Club's Senior Men's Team are the reigning Queensland Champions. The Club equalled its previous record set for the Queensland competition in 1997 by winning the 2002 Brisbane Shield, the GAA Trophy, the League and the Championship Trophy, and going the entire season undefeated. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE The 122nd Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held in Buckhead this Saturday, March 15th, starting at 1pm. This will be the largest, b est publicized St. Patrick's Parade since the first such event 145 years ago. This year we anticipate 200 units, including at le an last year's spectacular success. Clan Na nGael are responsible for "marshalling" the Parade.

Welcome to St. Columbkilles Gaelic Football Club of Boston. St.Columbkilles was founded in 1975 in the Brighton area of Boston, Massachusetts. The club competes in the North East Championship each year in both Junior and Senior Football. St. Cols boasts two senior titles and two junior titles in its twenty two year history and has in excess of one hundred registered members. If you are interested in finding out more about St. Columbkilles, please send an e-mail to STCOLSGFC@aol.com. 2003 CONVENTION The convention for 2003 was held at the Boyne and with close to 40 members present, was the best attended in recent years. Mark Mathers steps down from the committee after 7 years of service, the last two serving as chairman. As Jeff Haughton described him, Mark conducted himself like a "true professional." We would like to extend our thanks to Mark for his service and look forward to his return in the years to come when we are back on top at senior level. The election of officers went smoothly with plenty of people eager to participate. Meath Senior Ladies Team Meath played Waterford at Dunsany on the 22nd of February, in the Suzuki Womens League and lost by four points. Dunsany were represented by Anne-Marie Dennehy and Sandra Coleman. Fintan Lawlor Fintan has once again agreed to train and manage the adult teams in the club. On behalf of all the players, a big thank you! Training A Routine seems to be forming. Training Friday night 7.30 and Sunday Morning 11 A.M. for all Senior,Junior,Minor, U-16 Players. Details about all other grades available from Jennifer Cusack or Teresa Mangan. Dinner Dance Tickets for the dinner dance are available from Mel and other members of the Committee, it will be taking place in the Newgrange on Friday the 7th of March. Archbishop Croke was born in Cork in 1824, ordained in 1846 and became president of St Colman's College, Fermoy in 1858. After four years as Bishop of Auckland, he was promoted to Archbishop of Cashel in 1875. Publicly associated with land agitation and other forms of nationalism he was a major influence on Irish social and political life. Along with Parnell and Davitt he was the first Patron of the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1984. The GAA home ground was named in his honour.

1952 East Cork Junior "B" Champions
Glenville
The village of Glenville is situated approximately 18 km north of Cork City. It is one of two villages in the parish of Watergrasshill and Glenville and in the division of Imokilly. Glenville Football Club and Watergasshill Hurling Club draw players and officials from both sides of the parish. The Football Club was founded in the 1930's and was put on a sound footing in the late forties and early fifties. Through the years, the club has competed well in all competitions and has teams from under eight up to adult. Our club has won many championship and league titles, with under age teams performing particularly well. The club has over sixty adult members in addition to many student and juvenile members.
