ABC News Research Center uses TechPro primarily to catalog print materials. Title pages sent to OCLC are converted into MARC records on diskette, which are then uploaded by ABC News Research Center staff to make information available through their online catalog.
The collection of musical scores started in 1907 with an initial donation from what is now known as
Mark Watson, head of the Cataloging Department at the University of Oregon, said the OCLC TechPro service has been instrumental in helping the library make East and Southeast Asian language materials available in a timely fashion.
