Slick Flicker: $20.00 a pair
(Australia add 10% for GST) The Slick Flicker is a very fast bat, there is very little drag which ever side of the bat you are using. If you move the puck around a lot and have quick hands, then this is the bat for you. It also has a good reliable flick and is perhaps the most popular design selection.
Slick Flicker Slim: $20.00 a pair (NEW)
(Australia add 10% for GST)
The same reliable straight edged flick and flicking distance is achieved with the Slick Flicker Slim. The new slimmer design allows for quicker movement through the water and improved manoeuvrability.
Atom Ant: $20.00 a pair
(Australia add 10% for GST)
Real power. Similar flicking edge as the Slick Flicker, larger playing area. A good reliable flick.
Sabre: $20.00 a pair
(Australia add 10% for GST)
Similar in size to the Slick Flicker but with a curved flicking edge. All stick types achieve the same result, but the Sabre has been developed to suit players who prefer flicking with curved edge stick, rather than a straight edge.
Sabre Slim: $20.00 a pair

UNDERWATER HOCKEY
Underwater Hockey (UWH) is an action-packed, three-dimensional sport played on the bottom of a swimming pool. Players use snorkeling gear, a special hockey stick, and a protective glove to slide a lead-weighted puck across the bottom of the pool to a goal on the opposite side. UWH is excellent for building lung capacity while developing maneuverability and teamwork. The MSU SCUBA Club holds UWH practices biweekly in the IM Circle pool and hosted an International Tournament in the Spring of 2001-2003. We invite club and non-club members to come and play. No experience is necessary. E-Mail the club to get exact dates for our practice, as they tend to vary from week to week. Click here for some pictures of this wicked sport.

In case you were wondering what a couple of stingrays and a snorkeler have to do with underwater hockey, well... all the real action occurs at the bottom. A good UWH player retires to the surface to breathe and continues to follow the game (no standing on the bottom of the pool!!!). And UWH lets you improve your snorkeling, free diving skills and breath so you can have more fun on vacation if you go somewhere with good snorkeling (like Grand Cayman, where you can snorkel with stingrays and feed them)... Also - it just made a nice picture for the front page of the website that wasn't too busy. I'm planning to include text on the main image area. 6/1 - finallly got around to it. This will be the message board.

    UNDERWATER HOCKEY, getting started
Underwater hockey is a "breath-hold" sport. Players wear a mask, snorkel, fins along with a 12 inch hockey stick and padded glove. It is a "real" sport, with regional, national, and international tournaments. In these tournaments there are refs, timers and athletes with serious intent, but during "friendly" games and practice sessions, it is more like any other sport where people just get together and play without the formality and time structure of a tournament. There are quite a few athletes playing underwater hockey. There are a lot more "wish I was an athlete" players. The water is an equalizer so newer players, men and women, young or old can play in the same game with the "jocks". Virtually all of the clubs/teams are coed. Underwater hockey is a great cardiovascular workout and a lot of fun. Some clubs are more competition oriented and some are more "'recreation" oriented. Even in a competition oriented club a "non-athlete" can still have a good time and stay in tip top shape for diving and other sports. The Game...

Underwater hockey is a very fast moving game that quickly builds swimming and free diving abilities. Underwater hockey is open to both men and women, of all swimming abilities, is a lot of fun and a great stress relief.
It is played on the bottom of a swimming pool by two teams of six. Players wear fins, mask, snorkel, a protective glove and headgear. The stick is short, approximately 1 foot long, the puck is heavy, around 3 lb. and the goal is 3 meters (9’) long.
The rules are "non-contact" and players generally cover "zones" around the puck. Success (scoring) ultimately depends on teamwork, since no single person can hold their breath forever. Individual strength is less of an advantage than it is in many other sports. The water nullifies pure mass advantage and emphasizes clever use of torque. Often, women and smaller players appear to have a slight advantage over other players, so size is not an advantage in Underwater Hockey.
In competition, games are two 15 minute halves, and teams of 6 can have up to 4 substitutes on the deck who can enter play on the fly.
