    Army ROTC Provides Foundation
Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a program that combines college courses in military science with summer training sessions to turn students into military officers. The program is designed to develop leadership and management skills. Participating in Army ROTC is an invaluable investment into one's leadership ability. Upon successful completion of the program and graduation, cadets are normally commissioned as a second lieutenant in either the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard, or the Army Reserve. The leadership skills developed through the Ripon College Army ROTC program also apply in the civilian market. Some examples are public speaking, management skills, evaluative and decisive behavior training, along with ethics training necessary to be a leader in the 21st century. These skills serve the cadet in community, civic involvement, or as an officer with a bright career in the Army. Army ROTC provides a foundation of skills for a student eager to deal with problems, planning, and tasks associated with everyday business/life decisions.
