Two Days Training
Software Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering
Are you responsible for implementing SQA within your project?
Do you have to implement SQA in your organization? Workshop Abstract This workshop will describe how your projects concretely benefit from focusing on quality, and why your projects should focus on quality including:
  • Necessary quality functions on a project Who is responsible for the different quality functions within the organization Identification of skills required to be successful How quality metrics can be used to track both process and product quality
The workshop will also describe the expected roles, organization, and activities of an SQA Group, including the types of support that projects can expect from an SQA Group to help them manage and control their projects. The workshop covers the software quality engineering principles that form the basis for the Software Quality Assurance KPA of the CMM.
Workshop Objectives Upon successful completion of this two-days workshop, participants will:
  • Describe software quality engineering and why it is necessary Understand Roles and responsibility of SQA representative and the SQA group Understand the need for SQA independence Be able to Apply quality functions throughout the software lifecycle Define and apply a software quality plan for individual projects Understand the meaning of all key practices within the Key Process Areas of CMM Level 2 SQA activities within a software development lifecycle
