65. Quotes About Love
Even love unreturned has its rainbow. James matthew barrie. matthew White. Itis love, not reason, that is stronger than death. Thomas Mann. - J. Barnes.
http://www.afn.org/~afn48651/love.html

Don't say I love you unless you mean it.
But if you mean it say it often.
People forget.
Love is never lost. If not reciprocated it will flow back and soften and purify the heart. If you love something, set it free.
If it comes back it is yours.
If it doesn't, it never was.
It is a beautiful necessity of our nature to love something.
Jerrold The greatest pleasure of life is love.
Sir W. Temple Love gives itself; it is not bought.
Longfellow It is better to have loved and lost, than not to love at all.
Tennyson Love is love's reward. Dryden If nobody loves you, be sure it is your own fault. Doddridge If only the power of love was as great as the love of power. No matter what, no matter where - It's always home if love is there. From the Dutch When other things are past and gone. A mother's love lives on and on. Dutch Proverb The love in your heart wasn't put there to stay. Love isn't love till you give it away. Was she so loved because her eyes were so beautiful, or were her eyes so beautiful because she was so loved? Anzia Yezierska Love without commitment is an imposter.

Life Love Angels Humour ... Animals
Do not be afraid to show kindness to strangers, you may be entertaining an angel. We have not inherited the Earth from our ancestors, we have only borrowed it from our children.
Ancient Proverb Love is never lost. If not reciprocated it will flow back and soften and purify the heart. Only after the last tree has been cut down, Only after the last river has been poisoned, Only after the last fish has been caught, Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.
Cree Indian Prophecy If you love something, set it free. If it comes back it is yours. If it doesn't, it never was. The only way to have a friend is to be one.
Emerson Be slow to fall into friendship, but when thou art in, continue firm and constant.
Socrates People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.
Joseph Fort Newton It is a beautiful necessity of our nature to love something.
Jerrold The greatest pleasure of life is love.
Sir W. Temple Love gives itself; it is not bought.

Raleigh, USA - Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 17:13:36 (PST) I love the series AS Time Goes By. When the 4 episodes of the program aired this past fall, I was disappointed that no more episodes were planned. The family is so "cozy" as some other posters have said. In Judy and Alistair's wedding where was Rockey's wife Madge?
Jardin425@msn.com

Ephrata, PA USA - Sunday, March 30, 2003 at 09:31:43 (PST) A bit from today's online San Francisco Examiner gave me a chuckle.(the "Scoop" column): Gno, we're not kidding Dame Judi Dench and Kate Winslet will be teaming up for a Romeo and Juliet takeoff featuring garden gnomes. Garden gnomes? Where do people come up with these ideas? Kate will do the voice of Juliet, while Dame Judi fills in as the nurse. Look for Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice to make appearances also. The film, which will be animated and backed by Disney, will be called (wait for it) "Gnomeo and Juliet." That's just wrong. Leave it to Disney!

(Staff 83-93) Ken was an extremely effective Chaplain, who has made a lasting impression on many Petreans. Polly played a vital part in the early years of Springvale House, where she was the all seeing, all doing Secretary and the friend of all. The role she performed was unique. It is difficult to explain just how pervasive her warm personality was throughout the school and reproduced in Nostalgia are some of her pithy contributions to a number of Magazines. Her first in 1985 explains much about the subsequent success of the school and the joy and sense of humour that the founding staff brought to the task. They now live in Durham, England where Ken (pictured right) is attached to the University and working mainly as a Counsellor. Kenneth.Anderson@durham.ac.uk Dr Hamish Allen served as the school's medical officer from the day Peterhouse opened until he died in 1974. B John Barratt (Staff 58-78) who was on the music staff at PHB and Springvale for many years, taught at Eastbourne College (where Fred Snell had previously been a Housemaster) from 1950 to 1957. In 1978 he retired from teaching and took up the post of choir-master at the Cathedral of St Mary and All Saints in Harare. There he annually took choristers to summer schools in South Africa run by the Royal School of Church Music. In 1981 he married an old friend, Unity, and they returned to the UK to settle in Wells, Somerset. John maintained his interest in choral music with the Bristol Bach Choir and subsequently the Wells Cathedral Voluntary Choir. John died on 13th August 2001 aged 80.

The drums of war, already loud, are daily being amplified by the megaphones of modern media. The U.S. government is adopting a doctrine of "pre-emptive war." There are large numbers of people in the United States who do not agree. We want to extend our hands to people all over the world to work together for peace, justice, economic equity, and environmental sanity. The United States government is, sadly, behaving like a global bully a role that alarms us greatly because of the threat of war and the destruction that it may rain down on children who have too long suffered for the fights of their fathers. It also increases the risks of terrorism here and all over the world because it is likely to further inflame angry passions, which are already too high. Our goal is to seek peaceful resolution of conflicts. We also want to strengthen international institutions so that they can accomplish that goal. The United States, against its own best traditions, is undermining the rule of law internationally by trying to muscle other countries as well as the United Nations to bend to its will by threatening the unilateral use of force.

Thoughts
"A burning purpose attracts others who are drawn along with it and help fulfill it." Margaret Bourke-White, American photojournalist (1904-1971). "I wanted a perfect ending. ... Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." Gilda Radner, American comedian (1946-1989). "Ideals are like stars; you will not succeed in touching them with your hands. But like the seafaring man on the desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them you will reach your destiny." Carl Schurz, American politician (1829-1906). "Tact is, after all, a kind of mind-reading." Sarah Orne Jewett, American author (1849-1909). "We do not usually look for allies when we love. Indeed, we often look on those who love with us as rivals and trespassers. But we always look for allies when we hate." Eric Hoffer, American author and philosopher (1902-1983).
