Los criterios diagnósticos son: Rechazo a mantener el peso corporal por encima de un peso mínimo para su edad y talla; por ejemplo, pérdida de peso o mantenimiento de éste por debajo del 15 por 100 del esperado. En casos de crecimiento, fracaso en alcanzar el que le correspondería en un 155 inferior al esperado.
